A small step...and a moral victory!

Okay, for me it's a big step! I bought some nail polish at the store today! Given my recent struggles I'm very happy with myself and know that the next purchase will be easier now that I've gotten the first one out of the way. It's only clear polish, not the red that I'd prefer, but it feels so nice to have my nails polished! It's amazing how such a simple thing can make such a big difference. Anyway, I just had to share my big news!

Yeah it is funny because I was in the same situation about a week ago trying to buy a hair straightening iron and after walking out I felt a bit of freedom. :D

It is all about attitude. You have to be carefree and confident even when you aren't deep down. When I worked in South Central L.A., that would be Watts and Compton and Inglewood etc, in the late Eighties early Nineties, I walked around like I owned the place and looked everyone square in the eye. As a 40 something white guy, I never had a bit of problem. They either thought I was the "MAN" or a crazy MF cracker. This is not a racial comment, just a fact of true life.Having that survival lesson, now I buy all the fem things I want just like buying a six pack of beer, and NEVER get a comment from anyone.

See the best part for you is that it is so exciting when you can do things like this :D There is still a "kick" about it and it is fun.

One day you will get to the point where buying femme things is just normal.
So anyways, now you can think of buying other femme things by themselves without "just tossing it in" with your normal purchases.
You know, red polish, lipstick, hose...
Yeah take your time and enjoy this new experience. :thumbsup:
But be aware - this hobby can get expensive. :heehee:
