A rose by any other name is still a rose. I like Jessica better also!

My wife picked my name and although I didn't feel like a Louise, it made her feel a part of this whole thing. I've changed since to Mary Louise to honor my late mother. Unless you need a lawyer and a court date, I'd say change it whenever you like.

I've never realy been able to pick one out for myself. I went by Bridget for a short bit (in honor of the crossdressing yoyo boy of Guilty Gear) then later asked the internet to name me. I asked for them to come up with a cute name for me, something like Dizzy (also from guilty gear) and rather than come up with a different name, they all just called me that instead.

I have done this once.
I used to be pretty big into the CD scene, left, and am now coming back.
As to leave the past behind, I can't really say my old femme name, but it sounded stupid and was not really a younger woman's name.
I think while Erin is unisex [when spoken] I do think it is a really nice name for a woman.
BTW - Cast my vote for "Jessica".

I never had a femme name until I came up with the one I'm using now and I like it so much I will always stick with it. Never liked anything else that I could think of. Took me 41 years to finally figure it out. Sometimes I'm a picky little bitch. :p

I gave much thought to a name. Wanted a name that was feminine sounding. It was also the name of someone I adored and admired.

Case in point here -
Some know right off hand, for some, they are undecided for years.
Sooner or later the right name will come to you.

I changed mine two times, First it was Sarria Moranda, then Serria Elizibeth, and now Sarah Stefanie. the last one is because my Mother was going to name me Stefanie if I was a girl and the more Normal spelling of Sarah works better. So I say go for it, the best reason to change your name is because you like it better and you loved one like it too!

My first name was Dawn. I really don't know why I chose it but a few years ago I just changed my name to Stacy because my attitude changed about dressing and voila a new person was born; hence the new name!

I'm pretty sure an admin type can help with that. Post to the "help" area (towards the bottom of the main page).

Just e-mail one of the administrators & ask for the change. That's what I did a year ago.

I always liked the name Jennifer, though I had a female friend I used to chat with online who preferred to call me Emma, which I like and kind of use as a middle name...Jennifer Emma Ross//
I like it:love::drink:

A long long time ago in a distant galaxy, I used the name Dee Dee. More a less a twist on my actual name. When my Ex found out I dressed she would refer to me in some very heated arguments as Edwina.
Which not only cut me to the core, but left me seething with anger.
Please call me Liz, Lizzie, Lizzie Kay, even Elizabeth would be nice,
Just whatever you call me....
Please just don't call me "late" to dinner!
Hugs!

For as long as I can remember, or at least since I've become aware of what crossdressing is and what it means to me, I've been Vicki. In fact, I was thinking of this yesterday, "what other name would I want?" and came up empty. Just seems to fit.

What comes to mind is that 'Jamie' is from the male name 'James", so maybe your subconscious picks up on that, and still thinks you are a boy. Who nows. But if you like Jessica better, then perhaps a change is due.

If I was to change my name to a femme name....it would be either Nancy, Tracy or Susan.
For some reason, I've always thought all three were very sexy names for a woman.
