Hi Jan,
And thank you everyone! I had loads of fun doing the shoot.
I had my bridal pics taken by a professional photographer (a GG!) who was absolutely wonderful about the whole thing. She was very understanding of this poor male CDer who always wanted to dress as a bride.
And yes, the wedding gown, petticoat, veil, heels and everything are all mine. The gown is one of two that I own -- the other is rather similar.
The pics were done in her studio -- a beautifully decorated brownstone up here in the Albany area -- and we spent a couple of hours altogether. I had a makeover done at a day spa on the way to my photo shoot, so I was able to arrive en femme, too (She was expecting me to arrive en femme, as I had warned her ahead of time).
So I had an absolute blast doing the photo shoot and Katherine was happy to treat me like any other bride having her bridal portraits done. My only regret is that I did not have a groom to stand next to me! So I guess that's my next wish!

Dang, I wish I had a bridesmaid or two to pose with me, too!
Well, my preference has always been for some kind of pastel floral-print tea-length dresses with puffed shoulders, full skirts and sweetheart necklines, a little bit like my gown. I have a bridesmaid dress a lot like it -- it has princess seams and elbow-length sleeves.

Actually I purchased my wedding gown at a bridal shop in male mode.
I have been to a few bridal shops in my area, always shopped in male mode (until I knew the ladies there better). I was up-front about what I wanted -- as in, a bridal, prom or bridesmaid dress for myself. I found the salesladies to be very understanding -- and my money is as green as any woman's.
The gown in my pics is an Alfred Angelo gown I bought at a local bridal shop -- in fact, I purchased an entire bridal ensemble from them, including foundation garments, petticoat, thigh-top stockings, white satin-covered pumps, satin gloves and headpiece and veil.
