Can't really explain it. I just like the name and it fits me -- somewhat assertive and exotic, or dominatingexotique, if you will. The melt part, well, that's what I do best ...

Hello Timme love, well mand is short for Amanda, why Amanda ? .... well for no other reason than I like it. My middle name is Jane which I have borrowed from the wife.

So my full name is 'Amanda Jane Smith', but I always shorten it to mand.

Nothing interesting or that makes sense. I just always thought Melissa was a very pretty, feminine name.

Hugs,

Hi Timme,

I've just stuck with plain old Mark. Maybe because I only really got dressed at home I never really thought of a female name. Now I'm quite happy just to stick with Mark.

A bit strange I know but That's how I'm most comfortable,

Mark.

Well I'm into anime if you all don't know, and my first anime crush was Sailor Moon. Her real name's Serena, so when I became a CD, I chose that name. Not only that, but I always just found it a pretty name. My last name is Simpson, and I'm just a Simpson's fan.

Hmm,

Well, um, most of you have more logical reasons for your name than me. My reason makes me feel ultra-geeky.

I started playing pen-and-paper role-playing games as a teenager. Great outlet for my femme persona, btw, as I frequently found myself playing female characters.

As the years went by, I had a re-occurring female character that showed up in several incarnations, but each time she was my favorite. When I finally started owning up to myself, I realized Brandy Marie Devereaux wasn't a character I was making up; she was a part of myself I was letting out. It just seemed to fit.

I'm going to crawl back under the rock I came from under now to hide my shame,

Brandy Marie Devereaux

Besides liking the Ronnettes and Ronnie Spector ( I think I just dated myself ), it is the female version of my male name.
Veronica - Ronnie
Ronald - Ronnie

;) I love dressing in the clothes of the fifties (i.e. full circle skirts with pouffy crinolines, lacy panties and lacy slips (full or half) under the skirt with a lacy blouse and deep red lipstick. Peggy Sue is name from that period of time as in the fifties movie "Peggy Sue Got Married". I thought it a good one for me since I am such fifties gurl.

I gusee I know a few Kate's and other ways to spell it. I went to the baby names web site to find a name. Katie was the only one i kept going back to. I didn't want a traditional middle name as they are to common. So I started looking at last names, found Ashe, I was nice and flowed well with Katie. So ... Ashe works for me as a middle and or last name... Katie Ashe. I truly hate me real name and hate to hear it (Bryan). Katie is soft and usaully reminds you so some one cute you probly knew... I son't know... it works for meeee

Kimberly is a homage to the village I grew up in.

Whilst there, I told everyone I wanted to be a girl and fantasised so much about becoming one. Now I just wear the clothes :p But Kimberley is where it all began (i just dropped the last e)

Stephanie

Stephanie was the name of the first girl I remember having a "crush" on back in the 3rd grade and I've always liked the name and I thought that it would be a good choice for a "femme" name to adopt.

Alexandra
04-15-2005, 06:48 PM
My Male name is ALEXANDER, actually named after Alexander the Great.. I I tried Alexis, but I didnt want to sound like a bitch like Joan Collins was on Dynasty.

So, I figured, I would go with Alexandra. That Way I could go by Either Alex which is a girls name, or Alexandra.

One day, when I was dressed in my best, I looked, and posed in a full length mirror. I thought about what I was feeling inside of me, as I looked at my image. The image looked sexy, and I WAS, feeling---VERY lusty, and, since I can outwalk my wife in heels;-----I decided to call myself "Hot Lust walking"!---I have another name, but I keep that "private".

Jerry
04-15-2005, 07:06 PM
My middle name is Jerome. Jerry is a natural from that. I actually have a few family members that call me Jerry. I've considered modifying it to Jerri, Geri, Jeri, or some more feminine variation, but it never seemed quite right.

Jerry is part of me. Is me. I think, therefore I am. It riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave, and keep on thinking free.

Hog hugs.

A couple of years ago, my wife and I thought we were going to have a daughter. (He turned out to be a boy, though. The ultrasound techs were wrong every time.) In brainstorming names, Phoebe was the one that I really liked, and she didn't. Diana comes from my wife.

Plus I really like the sun goddess/moon goddess thing.

I never understood why gaming was considered geeky--most of the gamers I know ended up being writers or actors (Ok, all the rest are computer programmers. But still.). It must be the dice.

I would think RPG's would be a natural draw for the type of person who is going to build a persona of some kind. In thinking back, I played about 50/50 male/female, but the more memorable characters were the female ones. (And the main male character I played was really a shape-changer who had gotten stuck in one form. Hmmm.)

Honestly, I would have picked my favorite character's name too, but it's in Sindarin.

I don't see why it's so terrible there's already been a thread or three on this... revisiting discussions with new people as well as having the chance to rephrase things based on new life experience both seem to be good things to me. That said... I ALREADY SAID THIS TWICE!! I named myself after a gorgeous woman who used to come in where I worked - she had flawless fashion sense and always looked like she was dressed for a commercial - even when she was sick and 'yucky'. When I picked the name and created my profile I didn't, however, think of the fact that it's my gf's sister's name (new life experience in question ;) ).... I confessed it to her and told her the truth about the name... she took it well: "as long as you don't want to sleep with my sister..." - "nononononoooooooo... I mean, she's pretty and all"

Also - I gamed. I was a geek. I got picked on for asking if I could play a female character sometimes, "just to change things up". lol
