I was just wondering on peoples body sizes, and wether or not you are able to pass while dressed. Im 6 foot 1 215lbs. i myself have never tried to pass but i was just wondering if the larger ladies are still convincing.

6'2" in my stocking soles and weigh about 220lbs

6'6" in my heels and weigh about 220lbs

At either of these heights above you will stand out in a crowd as would a normal girl would at that height.

Can you pass?

In all honesty No, at that height its not all about passing. If you present yourself properly and are confident then you will be ok.

Oh i know its not about passing but rather how you feel about yourself. I was just wondering what the percentage of people on here was. I hope I'm not offending anyone one here with this question, Just curious.

I am 6' 2" in my stocking feet, and I have to admit that I tip the scale higher than you. When I go out, I really do not do it to pass, but for how it makes me feel. I have to admit that I have never been challenged when out. Luv

I'm rather lucky as I'm not tall. 1.71 meter (I don't know what this is in foot...) but many women are taller than me...

However I'm a large person (And yet I've lost ots of weight...) That doesn't help me to try to look feminine except for the cleavage that this excess weight has helped me get.

But after all there are plumper women who are still very feminine...

I guess that I am lucky! I'm 5'6" 130lbs and have a size 9w shoe!:D

I don't know about size making it that much easier to pass though, as I see girls of all sizes all the time.

6'4" 165lbs and that is without shoes. They don't add much weight though I was asked to assist placing the star on top of the tree in Rockafeller Center. LOL

I know I stand out. Fortunately my look turns that into a good thing.

I'm 5'9" and just shy of 160 pounds. With fake boobs, cincher, and pads I have a passable figure and my height is just about right for an average-tall woman in the U.S. I have small hands and feet, I suppose, which in guy mode isn't something I care for. My legs are turd-like and as a dude I hate that very much, but for crossdressing they come in handy.

If I walk or talk, however, I come across as a brute in a dress.

i was on a train once and saw to genitic females may have been sisters they must have been 6ft 3inches without heels and i did notice they got 1 or 2 strange looks - i'm 5ft 10 and weigh about 154 pound so i am quite lucky i guess there seem to be plenty of women as tall and built similary to me the only problem i might have is my large nose i dont see many women with hooters as prominent as mine

At 6-3 in my stocking feet, and tipping the scales at 190 or so, I definitely pass... At WNBA conventions, that is. LoL. I just strive to look attractive and tasteful and at the very least irrecognizable as my male self, but a good friend told me that it doesn't matter what you look like as long as your skirt is short enough. Ha.

6'5", 290 lbs. Basic football lineman build ;)

And yet, more than once, when seen from behind at Lane Bryant while with my SO (who is 8" shorter and half my weight), I will hear, "is anyone helping you ladies?"

Must be the hair down to my shoulderblades. Or a scary commentary on Lane Bryant customers.

5'10" in my stocking feet, and I almost always wear flats...165 lbs so my abs are tight and I'm blessed/cursed with skinny arms and shoulders (blessed when I'm a girl, cursed when I'm a guy) so I'm large for a woman, but to me passing is much more about bearing and attitude...smile!

I'd say JaytoJillian is the most passable and beautiful big girl here. And Genifer Teal looks very pretty in his avatar - hope to see some pics of him in the Pic section. I wonder if he goes out and passes! These two guys show you can be big and beautiufl!

And I wonder what clothes size you big girls have to buy!

Me, I'm very lucky to be 5' 4" tall, and I like to keep my weight 145lbs and below to keep a size 4, so I'm feeling fat at 147.8 lbs today.

Carroll - at 170 lbs I was a size 12, not 18 - 20. So I should be the same clothes size as kierapratt. It's impossible for me to be 130 lbs like Bre Rue - I'm so jealous. I'd probably be a very fast road biker if I was that light, but maybe my carbon fiber Cervelo Soloist Team with Zipp 404s will compensate!

Bre Rue - what's your clothes size and what kind of bikes do you have? I have 6 bmx, 2 mtn, and 7 road bikes!

6' without footwear, and 130 lbs. (1.83M, 59 Kgs) and no I don't watch what I eat . I couldn't get guys clothes to fit me - even if i wanted to - but then I don't want to. I like my size 4 jeans. Tops need to be at least medium, but hard to find them long enough. Shoe size is almost OK at 10.5 wide or 11. A few stores carry that size.

Hey Girls, I am 5'8" tall...210lbs:sad:...46' chest...36 waist...29 inseam... I'm a big girl, not to far off of passable:rolleyes:. I think with a little weight loss, 20 or so pounds, and little thighting up, I'd make it OK. Merry Christmas Ya'll Kaitlin

I'm 6' tall but I'm light, only 150-160lbs so with padding I have a pretty good shape. If I'm not out with a group of t-girls I can usually pass. I enjoy my look and love trying on new outfits! True, this isn't about the clothes, but they are a super side benefit of CDing!!

I am 5'10", 230 pounds. In my early days, I had cat calls from teenagers a couple of times at the mall. Once I had learned more and more about clothes, shoes, and accessories (actually matching...ha...ha) and did much better with my makeup, everything improved exponentially. And, as many have said, attitude makes a huge difference.

All of you are short :) I'm 6'5" in stocking feet and weigh.... well, a girl never divulges her weigh does she? Let's just say I'm a frequent Lane Bryant shopper :) Do I pass, maybe better if I learned and spoke the language of my grandparents (Russian). Although with my long wavy hair and natural 42C bust I'm very happy to say I've been called miss and maam on a number of occasions while dressed androgenously.

I really am lucky I guess...5'6" without footwear and varies between 5'9"/10" depending on the heel I am wearing. Being 155 pounds is also an advantage although I would like to bring that down to somwehere between 132 - 140 pounds, something I am currently doing!

Only problem...I am blessed with hair all over my body! Black extensive cover! I guess I can't have my cake and eat it too... :D

5'8" 165 pounds, I was shocked to gain 20 pounds after no more drinking alcohol. My normal had always been 147-150. I'm very slowly getting back there though through running-speedwalking and eating more vegetables. I really want my lower body weight because clothes just look so much nicer when I'm slimmer.

I'm 5' 8" and 175 pounds (79kg).

Since I've been out in public (Aug 07) I've lost 15 pounds, so I hope to keep that up until I'm down to around 154 pounds (70kg). That's the same weight I was when I was 20 years old. I'll see how I look from there. If we loose too much weight the face can suffer. Women generally have a greater fat distribution about the facial area than guys - so that's somthing to bear in mind.

Dita_B
12-20-2007, 08:29 AM
I am 6'- 1.5" on bare feet and weigh 176 pounds now and dropping, my measurements are 38-32-38 (with my corset on 38-30-38) and as far as I know I pass in public all the time.

Only when I wear my knee high boots or pumps with 4" heels I get some looks once in a while, because I tower over most of the population in them. But it is all in the attitude.

Nowadays I head straight for the groups of teenagers in the Malls and I never had any remarks from them... at least not that I have been able to notice. Oh yes the girls check me out, and so do I with them... and we smile at each other. And sometimes I get a whistle from the guys... which I take as a compliment. But then I like to strut my stuff and I dress to stand out not to blend in.

Before I started to go out in public, I lost 60 pounds, inspired by Oprah's weight loss show, which took me about a year and I am still working hard on my weight. No bread, no fat, only vegetarian food, lots of organic fruit and juiced vegetables and no alcohol, no caffeine...whatsoever.

Attitude is everything when out and about as far as I am concerned. Just act as if you take your rightful place in society as every other woman would do and you'll be fine... There are taller genetic girls around than I am and they have to deal with their height all the time... My own daughter is only about 1" shorter than I am and nobody is able to notice the difference...

Right now I'm about 5'10" and 245... Down from 285 a year ago. At that point I was pretty much disgusted with myself and realizing the clothes I like to wear (mostly lingerie and occasionally short skirts) were not looking that great anymore and as a result my interest in dressing started fading a little. Losing the 40 pounds that I have has given me back alot of energy as well as the desire to look at myself in a mirror again. I've let myself go a little in the last couple of weeks and put a few pounds back on (sigh... the holidays...) But as soon as New Year's Day gets here I'll be starting again and plan to use this year to drop another 40 pounds. I even have a special skirt picked out that I'm not allowing myself to wear until I hit 230... Talk about incentive!

I'm not at all interested in passing so that's never been an issue for me... I just want to be able to like what I see when I look in the mirror.

Beth you sound like me "back then". I'm 6'2" and when I was transisioned back in the early 80's I was down to 122lbs at my lowest, usually hovering around #130lbs. Now that I'm back across the fence I'm at 190lbs. Height is not a problem ladies, its presentation. As said many times before, if your confident in who you are, then your a tall lady and not a guy in a dress.

6 foot, 220 lbs.. passable when I take my time and do the make-up right and take care to dress "appropriately". Although, the times I do go out are usually to parties where once you are in the door, it doesn't matter what you wear or don't wear.

Some tall girls here. I'm 5 ft 9 and 150 pounds so I'm not too noticeable on the street. I feel tall in heels though. Shapewise I'm narrow shouldered with a big butt so I don't look great in men's clothes but the femme stuff fits me fairly well. Just wish my feet weren't so big...

Off the subject a bit but here is a cool diet that I have not starved on, and is working.
1) Oatmeal in the morning, made the way you like and as much as you like.
2) Tuna fish in water for lunch, have on crackers or triscuts,as much as you like.Make this your biggest meal of the day.
3) Celery and cream cheese for dinner, set a limit of 4 sticks and use low fat cream cheese.

I've stuck to this diet only 3 days per week and the rest of the time eating normally. The results are losing 2 pounds per week.

I was told by a nice clerk at Lane Bryant that they are used to males shopping in their store and it is no surprise to them. In fact they are trained on sensativity in dealing with "people like us". Lane Bryant believes our money is as good as anyones and we are a Large segment of their demographic audience. I rarely back corporations (in fact I am boycotting this xmas thinggy all together) so that tells you where I am coming from.

Now here is what I have found for myself. I am 6"1 before the hell heels and about 240lbs. I know I will never pass. However....ya just have to love a however now and again. It makes you feel like something positive is on the way. Ok, no more suspense. I have noticed that even many of us who think they pass do not for some very unfortunate give aways.

Typically, our shoulders are broader (even more so if your a big girl). Our abdomens are longer and our legs are shorter. This can be hidden with clothing tricks...other than your hands not only are bigger, they also land in the wrong spot on our clothes when down by our side. This is due to the above mentioned issue.

I can spot these details from a block away. I am not sure if it is because of my own interest in dressing or because I like to look at beautiful women. Either way, I notice it. I go on the confidence of feeling good. Also, where I lack due to anatomy I do my best to overcompensate for with fashion and make-up. GGs do at times seem very geniune about the compliments they give me. I have done many GGs make up and share tips. SO, work what you DO HAVE.

Also, I have never been approached about it. I am realistic about the reason for this; most people just don't want a punch in the eye from a 200+lb girl or guy!

1m 68 (5' 6") and 80 Kgs (175 lbs) I think. Waiting for the first pair of shoes I have ever bought to come in the post via Ebay. They are UK size 8/41, which I hope is right (my male size is UK 8). Also just received my first item of clothing - a lovely feminine jersey top - and that is UK size 14 (US 12, I believe).

Waiting for other things to arrive over the holidays. I took advantage to get them sent to work when no-one else is there - so I hope they all fit!!

As for passing, as you might guess, not ever tried - yet! Can't wait to be fully dressed in private - but one day ... ?

I am 6' 1". 180lb, look great in a corset, better than my wife!

Upper body is like a woman, arms and shoulders. I do not work out.

The problem is big hands, wear the same size gloves as infamous OJ :(. And of course size 12 shoes,(US).

Then there is my face and big nose, I need a face transplant :heehee: to pass or even come close! Oh Well!

Christine XX

I'm 5'9" and 225 lbs. (Don't know what that is in celcius)

Passing? Well I can get the right shape with corset and all kinds of padding/forms, but there's a limit to how long, or even how often I can wear all that. And then there's small things like walking and talking to give me away. So my most honest answer is 'not likely'.

You know, I think about that often also, but when I look around me and see women larger than me, dressed worse than me, and their hair is a mess and no makeup, "I feel alot better about myself", hehehe.

I have found that woman come in all shapes and sizes, just like men. You work with what you have. You make it work for you. If you think you are to tall, start wearing flats, many tall women do, you see it all the time. I have also seen very tall women in heels, they look great. As a matter of fact, I find more men are looking at them then shorter women.

At 5'11 and 160 lbs with size 12 feet I feel I am pushing the envelope. I constantly do surveys looking for women my height or higher, on a bell curve about 10% qualify. You can be wide or you can be tall, both at the same time are a dead giveaway.
