I am planning to go shopping and eat out in Indianapolis next wed. Can any of you from Indy give me names of some CD friendly stores or restaurants? Are there area's I should avoid?

Hugs & thanks!

Hi Peggy Sue!
I was out in Indy at the end of September with three other girls... We had dinner at a nice place called 'English Ivy' which is in the downtown area, near the dome. It is very 'T' friendly. we then partied at 'Talbot Street' lounge, but that was on a saturday night, so I'm not sure what goes on during the week.
I would also 'Google' IXE. they are the CD support group in Indy. They have a links section AND a 'T' friendly places to go and shop!!
This is a new computer... My old one that died had all those links on it and I am slowly finding my way back to all those sites.
Have fun!! Indy is a neat place to visit!!

Lisa Elizabeth, thanks so much for the information. That gets me started. I was at a loss as to how to find out where to go. Have a wonderful holiday!

Down in Evansville, Georgie's Tall Girl Boutique on Morgan Rd was (years ago) very friendly - but they also were a "call first" kind of place.

Hi Peggysue! I'm IN Indy as I type this and I will second Lisa Elizabeth's comments about two places - English Ivy (http://indianapolis.citysearch.com/review/3946461)and Talbots (http://www.talbottstreet.com/). English Ivy is VERY friendly and the food is awsome - I swear I'm not exagerating. I eat there every night I'm in Indy, including tonight. Even if they weren't Tfriendly, I'd STILL tell you to eat there because the food is just that good. It's half restaurant and half bar - you can stay there all night if you like.
Talbot is a cool place to visit but is not open on weekdays except Friday.
A place that IS open on weekdays and is very friendly is The Metro. (http://indianapolis.gaycities.com/bardetail/1059/) I was there tonight and had a great time listening to the karokie
Indy is a cool place, one of my favorite cities, and I visit a lot of cities. I've never been hassled or got so much as a dirty look here. Have fun!

Like Kim said about English Ivy.

Talbot is a decent club, except they have the music blairing so loud you cannot even breathe easily.

Indy is relatively safe. I live there.
