Which are the best artificial nails to wear? Acryl nails? Gel nails? Nail tips?

I have been wearing gel nails for over 5 years and I just LOVE them! They are strong and look very natural. They do require a "fill" at least every 3 weeks and total replacement every 8 or 9 months.

I was told that acrylic nails are bad for your own nail.

I now use gells which last almost a month with absolutely NO maintenance. They are strong and beautiful. I get complements all the time.

No artificial nail will be bad for your natural nails if applied correctly by a licensed nail tech

I just recently switched from gels (about a year) to pink and white acrylics, sometimes called solar nails. I really love the way they look and I generally get fills every 2-3 weeks. And here in north Texas, it's not easy to find techs who do gels.
