New Private MtF Transsexual Section

There is a new private male-to-female TS section that will be open for private membership today. It is called "Safe Haven," and membership will reserved for forum transsexuals and those who feel they may be transsexuals. And, no, we will not be attempting to verify whether someone is actually a male-to-female TS or not.

At some point(perhaps in a month or so), all threads in the MtF Transitioning section will be moved to the new section, and the Transitioning section will be removed from the forum.

Any member who wishes to join the new section is encouraged to apply and I hope the new section serves its purpose well. I also encourage any feedback this new section may arouse.

The public Transsexual and Body Issues sections will remain as they are -- open to all members. The private Female-to-Male Transitioning will also remain unaffected.

Nothing happened to the other section. It was just decided that a section dedicated to the growing TS membership, without the sometimes irrelevant, and occasionally belligerent(which I'm sure you must understand) interruptions by non-TS members, was warranted.

I'll assume you have no need to join this particalar section.

I think a private MTF forum creates a division among TS and non TS people. So, I am *completely* against it. In fact, I no longer even use the term TS as a designition, preferring TG instead and will no longer be posting in the TS forums, period.

hey look the new "Safe Haven," private male-to-female TS section is open .... and awaiting interested person's that are of the male-to-female TS ... to join them or those who feel they may be transsexuals to also join ....

thing is if this is you or you think it's you join .... and see what happens .... if not don't join ... that simple .....i know what the whys are abought ... if you fit join ... and if your just going to start some complaining please don't as the people that wanted this new section saw a need to have a new private male-to-female TS section and time and work put into it please join or don't but let's not complain abought it ....

The purpose of the private sections on the forum is not to exclude, though that's inevitable. The private sections are so that members of those sections can feel free to discuss personal issues without worry. Transsexual issues will still be discussed in the regular TS section for ANYONE that's interested, but the new MtF TS section will be a place where members who are MtF TS, or feel they may be, can share their own experiences. If members didn't feel a need for this and request it, it wouldn't have happened. We're just trying to accommodate members' needs as the forum grows and evolves. :straightface:

As of today, the MtF Transition section is no more. Any male-to-female transgendered or transsexual members who wish to join are welcome to apply.

To do so, go back to the main index page, scroll down to the next section below this one and Body Issues, click on the link to join(the words "Safe Haven") and follow the instructions. You can also do the same by clicking on the User CP link on the upper left near the top of the page, scroll down on the left side of the page to Group Memberships and look for Safe Haven among the list of private forums. Then just follow instructions.

When will Safe Haven be active? I followed the link and there are no posts yet, just three icons and a google link back to the same page.

Tonette, please take a few minutes to read the forum Rules/FAQ which you can find a link to at the top of nearly every page of the forum. There, you will learn that you must have a minimum of 10 posts in order to apply for admission to that section and several others on the forum... and alot of other good information as well for new members. :happy:

I did read the rules after I posted earlier and as usual I'm tripping all over myself in excitement, lol!

Click on "User CP" (top left). Then scroll down the control panel (on the left) to "Group Memberships" and click on that. There you can apply for Safe Haven or any other groups that interest you. :)
