hey girls, and guys for that matter! , first off the mlk reference is cheap,so , dont assume its out of disrespect! but i do have a dream, that one day, maybe on a far away planet(cuz according to discovery channel this one is only gonna be inhabitable for a few hundred thousand years at most) so yes i have a dream, that one day sex, meaning a persons gender or disposition if you will, could be a matter of choice! possibly something thats decided after or right before puberty, even later on in life! in other words, someone like me could bear children in the future! and i mean the whole 9 yards! one thing i noticed during my own childrens birth and the 9 months leading up to it, is that somehow i became more feminine with each child! i now hold the position of mother in our family and by that i mean nurturer, care giver, boo boo kisser, and i guess that makes me even more feminine! when one of them has a problem they always come to me! and so i guess that makes me wish for total femininity even more, because i find myself (while talking or dealing with them) feeling as though i am 99% woman or feminine, in other words my point of view and sometimes even my voice reflects that position!! i bring up this because i remember telling her(my so) that being able to carry a human life inside you is a precious gift! she then said thats only because you dont have to do it! and i said she was wrong, because from what ive seen and understand (mostly from other women not her!!) they become so close too the child inside them and also become so feminine and seem to relish it! to the point of complete jealousy i must say on my part! back to the dream now: i have a dream that one day ( i dont really believe in reincarnation but..........) i have a chance to carry a child inside me possibly on a far away planet , my handsome husband(possibly a woman at birth) drives us on a sunday drive our two children (currently a boy and a girl) sit comfortably in our cadillac escalade space cruiser 5007 model! with leather interior of course, as we travel through a worm hole to visit the milky way galaxy and take a look at earth 1, the original dwelling place of our ancestors, we take a couple quick orbits to see the refurbishing job that scientist are doing on the atmosphere and talk about possibly buying a summer home there when they complete the renovations that will make the earth livable again! ( i would assume that it would be possible , because we are very advanced by then! so then we slip back through the worm hole back to the galaxy where i was born earth 3( oh yeah i forgot to tell you earth 2 exploded, not as stable as we thought)lol! as we pull into our space port(garage) my husband (yes marriage still exists) my husband turns to me and says i dont think youve ever looked more beautiful as you do today my love! i hear my kids giggling , as we kiss, and he puts his hand on my belly to feel our childs movements! as we walk into our house the video screen automatically comes on, as the president( a woman) speaks about the renovations to too earth 1 and receives great applause , by the way the white house is no longer the white house, its the presidents home , because we are all one race now, human!, the end!

now, this is not what i meant to say but, as i typed it it felt right and now i do believe(if just a little bit) in reincarnation!!:drink::hugs::bye:

Suzanne I have a similar dream. The reason the reverend Dr. King was so effective is because he was pushing for the civil rights for all people. No person is truly free if inside there is hatred for another person, no matter what the reason. His focus was on freedom for the colored citizens but he pushed for everyone to be free in mind and spirit. Civil rights for the various races is now law, few people would want to go back to the old ways. Civil rights for the glbt citizens is not the law except in a few isolated areas, when it happens, a generation later we will be accepted. Until that time, we rely on our dream to be a woman with all the experiences of a real woman.

In 3000 years, gender roles will hopefully not be as rigid... maybe we'll all just be seen as people. That way, it won't matter what you wear or how you act, you'll just be a person.
