I bought a really cute skort sometime back. It's black with a pleated front that is a faux wrap, with two gold buttons each side of the pleated area at the top.
I would have prefered it were a skirt right from the get-go, and I actually took the crotch apart with the intention of recutting, surging, and hemming it into a skirt. I do have the skills to do this, but the inclination has to grab me. I put it away in a drawer and never got back to it.
Today I found it and the wife has done all the work for me. It's not 100% right, the back towards the bottom is a bit full and needs recutting, but she did this without any prompting whatsoever. Not that I remember at least. I'm probably at least 95% sure I never asked her to do it.
