Does anyone else have this problem? I purchased some new makeup from Sephora (bare escentuals) for eyes and lips. Well, it came in today. I have two small kids, so I knew it would be either later tonight or tomorrow before I could try it out, even though I was like a kid at christmas who couldn't wait for Santa to come. Next thing I know, wife grabbed the eye makeup and headed toward the bathroom to try it out:eek: MY MAKEUP!!! And she gets to try it before me? There is something here that just doesn't seem fair. Do any of you other girls run into this issue, and if so, how do you keep your wife out of YOUR makeup!

I only wish I had that problem. You're very fortunate to have her, let her play with your makeup first, you'll get to try it soon enough!

It doesn't bother me when mine uses new makeup first, most of the time we buy it together. Sometimes i get it first , sometimes she does, just the way it goes.

Michelle,

I think you are getting the ultimate compliment - as well as a really good deal!!!

Mrs. Missy and I swap makeup all the time. I love it.

I guess maybe she thinks she's entitled since she's a real woman and all? :2c:

I agree; I think she IS entitled to try it 1st -- never forget that she is the "real" woman. Take her sharing as a compliment and a good sign. My wife has begun to talk about makeup with me a lot -- she even spread some on my hand the other day at the dept store to test the color of a foundation on me. Today, she said something about "painting my face" for me. So makeup sharing is a good thing, but her makeup needs should come 1st!

Never happened to me.. I just buy my own stuff and since she hardly wears any at all it is no big deal. I'd totally start if she wanted to though!

That is the best compliment your wife could do to your taste in matter of makeup choice...

As someone said here also, "I wish my wife would just do the same..."

I wouldn't mind her using my makeup, or any of my other feminine stuff...

Enjoy having a wife that is so considerate on that subject of X-Dressing... Few of us are that fortunate...

It's wonderful that your wife is willing to share your femme side. Enjoy and buy more make-up!

My wife gave me a small makeup kit with case for Xmas and soon as I opened it she was trying the out lip gloss LOL
She also knows where I keep my stuff and gets my makeup brushes sometimes.
No prob tho,, whenever I need jewelry (not my cheap stuff) Im into her jewelery box :)
We also get each others opinions on outfits while browsing fashion mags etc,,
Your lucky to be able to share and not hide your new purchase !

The good news is my wife doesn't wear makeup,
the bad news is she steals my stockings

I spent years out in the cold with my CD-ing but now my wife has become more accepting to the point of "borrowing" my makeup and even asking me for help with it. For me this is progress beyond my wildest dreams...you and I are both lucky :D

Does anyone else have this problem? I purchased some new makeup from Sephora It is available at some JCPenney's. I LOVE Sephora! (bare escentuals) for eyes and lips. Michelle, don't come crying to ME about this problem! I know, my wife used ALL my old makeup and often wears MY femme clothes. No sympathy here! And she gets to try it before me? There is something here that just doesn't seem fair. Do any of you other girls run into this issue, and if so, how do you keep your wife out of YOUR makeup! With all my brand new makeup, $150 worth, I have it in a small black bag that I hide behind the dresser. ;)

Well I know what you are going thru.

We start out having to hide our things. We tell the wife, our things came come out of hidden storage. Then later, we have to hide it again...

Tis crazy, girl!

Have you ever tried on any of her clothes? Maybe its payback.

The makeup I put into the makeup case is fair game. However, you can bet I try it on first! As far as stockings go, this past week she complained she was cold even though she wore pantyhose under pants. So, I suggested she wear tights instead. "Why, do you have a pair I could use?" she asked. I haven't given her a reply yet.

Why is that a problem????? It gives you the right to play in HER makeup as well. And BTW, I'm gonna be in Raleigh tonight....can I come by and try your makeup out too??? (GIGGLE GIGGLE)
