This is not a cry for help more a question.
I am 36 love doing things that are feminine, dressing, make up etc, nails, titivating my apperance etc, and when am fully or partly dressed i fell totaly feminine, and feel great, but if i could wave a magic wand and become female i would choose not too, so i guess what i am asking is all things fem make me happy but dont want to be lady. Does that makes sense, feel free to imput.

Becky hon, that isn't uncommon at all; I could point out many threads on this board with people who are just like you, in this regard. The answer changes from one individual to another, but all have one common thread: They all love dressing, making themselves up as and acting every bit as feminine as they can.
No, you don't seem to be in a minority at all, just a different type of the overall minority of TG (TransGender).
So no, you're not alone in how you feel, I doubt anyone on these boards is.. despite how isolated this can make us feel IRL.

Yes, That does make sence. I love dressing and want to dress all the time, but do not plan to make the big change. You can be who you want, and if dressing 24/7 without the operation there is nothing wrong with it. A lot of CDs get a sexual thrill out of dressing which there is nothing wrong with that either. You and only you will decide how far you want to go. There are Tri-Ess groups out there if you want to be around others who dress. Most CDs are not Gay so don't think you have to be Gay to be a CD. This is the best place I have found to come to and be agongst others like me. Some are different, but it does not matter here we are all Brothers and Sisters here. You are Welcome to come at anytime and don't be a fraid to ask questions or to add to any thread.

When I was a kid I spent a lot of time being a cowboy.
But it didn't mean I had to buy a real horse to enjoy it.

Makes perfect sense to me.
As much as I love wearing female clothing, I am and will always be a man. I don't have a girl name, I don't try and speak like a female, I don't walk like a female, and I certainly don't look female... 7+ days of stubble and counting :)
Legs are a smooth as a babies bum though :)
I have no desire to be female. Certain aspects appeal to me, but to go all the way? NO THANKS!!!!!
I wouldn't say that I feel feminine when I'm dressed. I feel great but it's not feminine.
I'm dressed as I write this. I look down and see my short denim skirt pulled tight across my thighs, and knee high boots and it looks great and feels great, but I don't feel feminine.... I never do.
I sometimes feel that I'm missing out on something.

for me, i can't deny the body i have, or that i was raised to be a man.
i also wouldn't deny that inside, i've VERY feminine, and it's sure nice to be one of the girls!

Makes sense to me. Nothing like being able to pee outside while standing up if you have to. And no "time of the month".

I too like [to be] all things feminine but if there was a magic wand or a pill to take to make all the feelings and urges to dress go away, I'd kill to be first in line to get it.

Yes this is very frequent to still like one's original nature even when cross-dressing.
There are multiple reasons behind the urge for dressing "en femme", not all of us here are interested in living "en femme" all the time or go all the way to become women that is having an operation.
However, some of us do change over time. Early on I was thinking exactly like you... Now I wuold really like to live "en femme" full time. A surgical operation is not in my projects though, for multiple reasons...
But using your "what if" question, I'd say now YES I would love a magic wand transforming me "en femme"...

I think what you describe is close enough for you at the present time. That could change over time, but maybe not. Sounds like you're doing what you need to do and that's all that matters.

I think you will find that the majority of the girls on this forum share your feelings. If you search for threads dealing with this issue, you will see by the responses of many, that you are not alone. I too share your views of CDing. At any rate, do what feels right and makes you happy. Erickka

You are not alone in your feelings. All of us are at different levels of "dressing" and those complex levels / desires are constantly changing. Do what you feel is right and comfortable for you without harming another.
Enjoy, Chari

You're not alone. I love to wear lingerie and often dream of what it would be like to dress full time. But I don't want to be a woman ALL the time. I guess that's what's so wonderful about dressing. I can be a lady when I want or be a man when I want.

Sure, I feel great when dressed, but don't have any desire to be female, so I guess it's the best of both worlds. You're not alone.

It's good thing you do not want to be a lady, as that's is big, difficult project.
I think most of us just enjoy where we are and probably wouldn't change to real girls, even if the Magic Fairy could make it happen.
Who would really want to menstrate, have a baby or go through menopause. I don't think I could handle any of those!

You have stumbled over this site that is chock full of CD's who dress on many levels. And you are worried you are the only one? Honey you are not going to say or do anything that we haven't seen or heard of before. So worry not, we can relate.

I find my thoughts change on this topic back and forth. Yes, I suppose I like being a man (see... lol), but I do honestly wonder what it would be like as a woman full-time sometimes... It would be interesting to spend a solid month en femme full-time, and honestly if I were younger and without a family to support, etc, well I probably be TG considering it full-time. Now, back to the NFL playoffs....

I feel the same way. I would never give up being a man. For me CDing is kind of like playing dress up when you're a kid. There have been times in the past where I thought that maybe I was born the wrong gender, but I've recently realized that I just enjoy dressing up and that's it. I have no desire to dress up outside of my home (except perhaps on Halloween) and I enjoy doing what average guys like to do. I enjoy sports, action movies and playing video games. But there's a side of me that enjoys dressing up like a female.

I am all about being a guy and doing all the guy stuff( +dresssing) and want to continue that way. If I could choose my next life it would likely be in fem.

Hi, your are not alone so please don't worry.
I'm the same as you.
I love dressing but I also like being a man and don't wish to change.
I just wish we had the freedom to express our selves a bit more openly thats all.
good luck with dressing

I've been crossdressing all my life. I love dressing as a woman and I always will but I've never wanted to be a woman, so you sound pretty sensible to me. There's more than one kind of crossdresser as this forum proves beyond any doubt.

I seem to yo yo between those thoughts..sometimes when dressed i exclaim "i wish i was a real woman"..then if i see a real lady that i'm attracted to and admire i exclaim "i wish i was a real man"...guess i want both..

Hey Becky,
I agree with you. I think you defined a CD vs. a TS. Although in any approach to categories, we all come in all shapes and sizes. Enjoy the ride.

I feel great when dressed and love to do so.
I could never pass as a woman and never really want to.
The feel of the clothes the thrill of sneaking around behind my wifes back and slipping on stockings, painting nails all add to the excitment.
I thought many years ago I would like to be a woman but I was in a bad place back then.
Now I realise I just enjoy it and get as much fun out of it as I can.
It is great to go around Next and New Look wearing stockings with painted nails and trying on shoes (I have lots of fun ensuring I don't get seen : )
