Strange IM Story

I had my femme/CD Instant Messaging (IM) profile on a week ago and suddenly got a msg from an English "MissTara.." saying hello. I chided "her" for having no profile/photo. Tara immediately sent me 2-3 photos...a knockout blonde and very passable. She insisted I send a (full) photo to her...i told her i looked like a guy in a dress, but oook, if you insist. I told her whatta looker she was and she thanked me.
She asked me about traveling to the SW USA, etc. Later, I commented again about how passable she was except maybe for her longish arms? She said "please explain?" I mentioned how males usually had longer arms and legs than GGs. She hesitated for a long while and then I got a "OMG!"
I suddenly realized she was indeed a wandering GG who just saw a femme IM light on and started talkin. I laughed pretty hard and long and apologized. She must have hardly looked at my profile, as it says I'm a CD. I dunno if she was insulted I thought she was a guy :) but she took it quite well and we're IM friends now. I guess I should be flattered she thought I was a GG...but I think (I know) she just wasn't paying attention. Janet

That's a funny story. I have gotten instant messages from a few guys on my Melissa Yahoo profile who obviously thought I was a gg. Never mind that it is in the adult section, and clearly says that I am a crossdresser, with a girlfriend, looking for friends only. I mean, I'm flattered and all, but duh!

The same thing almost happened to me recently, except that I was convinced the GG was a CD. Luckily, I resisted the urge to go talk to her... I may have said something I later would have regretted!
