Well, I did it! I cant believe I could have done it at the height of 6'3 and 63 years old. I dressed at my SO's home as a tailored woman with her help. I wore very flat shoes to keep height low. We called ahead and our first stop was at a bra fitters so my SO could shop for a new bra that fit perfectly. I was very self conscious. There we people in the shop so we had to wait a long while. When the customers left, my SO was fitted and I helped. I also got measured and purchased a shaper. At the checkout I asked I she knew I was CD. She said no, until she heard my voice. I also asked if she thought the other folks recognized me and she said definately not. I had been standing next to them quite a while waiting.
We went from there to Khols Dept store and walked through and looked around. We both realized that noone even blinked. We then went to anther shop where I kept my mouth shut and no one suspected I was a CD. To all the tall CDs out there. If you look tailored and behave noone will bat an eye. What a great day. My SO had a great time and is great.

Don't worry about your voice! Even if someone thought you might not be a gg--so what! As long as they treat you as you should be treated (based on how your are dressed), just smile and have fun!

Congrads......I know how wonderful it feels to go out dressed. I first went out back in 2005, then attended HEF in 2006, joined Tri-Ess the same year, and now go out shopping, and such. So far I have been treated like the woman I am presenting. You will find each time you go out dressed to be better than the last time out. It does tend to become addictive. LOL

Oh the greatest time in my life was when I went out for the first time. I was on cloud 9 for two weeks.

I'm a tall one myself and I understand. I've never had any problems going out.
I remember one time at the post office, a TGirl was in line and everyone else remained quiet and polite.
After the TGirl left, the snickering started which made me feel bad for her.
I've had only one instance where a girl had to hold herself back from laughing out loud. I just raised my voice to her and told her to just let it out.
Either way...it's my life....at least we're getting noticed!
Keep up the good work...wish my SO was so accepting.
