The Nail Salon is so Relaxing

I just got back from my bi-weekly nail appointment. I am always in drab wearing women's thong sandals. My wife and I both go to the same salon and we are both friends with the owner. It is so relaxing after a stressful week to go to the nail salon for a manicure and pedicure. I get clear polish on my fingers but my toes always get red polish. I live in Southern California and wear open toe sandals almost 24/7/365 except on very cold days. My red toenails are the one girl thing that are always on display.

It is so relaxing to go to the nail salon and be treated as one of the girls by all of the nail techs and the other customers. I really enjoy the discussions with the other women sitting on the sofa in the front of the salon while we are all waiting for our toes to dry. I usually have really nice conversations and have even made some new friends while we compare are toenail polish and wait for it to dry. I absolutely love the girl talk. :love:

I imagine that what I experience is the type of bonding that non-cd men experience during a trip to the barber shop. (eek, barber shops are so scary because they are so sterile looking and masculine :eek:)

Jamie, I am in total agreement with you in your comments about the Nail Salon. My dear late wife got me started going bi-weekly (manicure/pedicure) several years ago. Because she and our daughter always went together, and our daughter did not and does not know about my CD activities, I go to a different Salon.

Unlike you however, I rarely go in wearing drab. I do not pass, especially since my wife is no longer here to fix my wig and makeup. So I never wear a dress. However, I do own numerous skirts and skorts plus way too many nice tops. So I always put on panties (just about 24/7 anyway), a nice bra (I am a 40B), a tight fitting top, a skirt or skort, and of course a pair of ladies sandals. Like you I chat with the other ladies and frequently hear nice comments about my red toe nail and pink fingernails. I rarely wear the same red twice in a row, and since I see the same ladies often they usually will ask me what color am I going to wear this time! The only comments about my clothes that have been made are ones like, "I really like that outfit you are wearing!":love: Although I am 75, I dress as a lady in her 50's or 60's. Sometimes even younger, but not outrageous!

I find the nail salons to a place to escape and to be pampered. The massage of your hands, the many colors to choose from its just a great experence for any lady.

It is one of the most fulfilling experiences I have known, and for once it was me that converted Sandra. She paid for me to have a luxury manicure as a birthday pressie, she saw how much I liked it and now we both go together.

Now because of me her nails are looking a lot better than they have in years, and she pays :devil:
