Every now and then I buy something that I think will look great and realize that I can't figure it out. Like high heels with the multiple straps that tie around the lower leg. They look great in the catalog but I can't quite get it right. Also, bought a bikini with a top that can be tied multiple ways. I can't figure out what's up, what's down, and what ties around. It does not seem to fit any way I try it. It did when I bought it then I thought I would try it another way. It's like a rubics cube. Just wondering if anyone else has done this or if I am just girl challenged.

Oh gyod yes! Things that look so good on the rack or catalog, I have purchased only to find out "God I hate how this thing looks/feels!"

That is why one should always try on garments at the store to get an idea if it looks good to wear AND is practical.

I buy the most cutest tops, get them in and....ahhhh, tie this to that....argggggggg. Lucky for me my wife comes to the rescue. Womens cloths can be complex to say the least.

I wore some sandals several times. Thot they were uncomfortable. Well, they got a lot more comfortable AFTER I reversed the straps!
I have a hot top and dress and I had the ties on the wrong way. I still have the pics to prove it.

I agree, that is part of the intrigue, part of what makes it fun. But yes, you are not alone. I bought a strappy halter dress that was a real trick but I finally got it.

Ladies, i sometimes feel the same frustrations!
I've got one of those bra/cami combos. After 20 minutes or so of trying to figure out how to get into it, i gave up. Think i'll cut the bra part out and just use the cami part.
Once on, i'll bet even Houdini couldn't get out of it!

I managed to zip myself into a dress once that i couldn,t get out of afterwoods. Now i understand why some women ask their partners to unzip them.

You all make me not quite so out of it. This has happened to me several times now. I say to myself, if I can get machinery together why can't I figure out how this strap on my (shoes, bra, top, bathing suit) fits? Girls can't be that much brighter then us ...Can they?

I got in to a little black dress once that I could not get out of, I was at a hotel and I was to be at a company party within the hour and had not even started to get ready. I was in a panic and had no scissors or knife to cut myself out. Once I settled down I relaxed, thought, I got into this there must be a way out. Bit by bit I slowly wiggled out like a snake shedding a skin. Boy what an adventure.

I'm so much that way with shoes..........I am PICKY when it comes to picking out sexy heels/sandals etc etc

I always want to feel BLOWN AWAY when I put them on, and very few shoes have done that for me.....some do, and then lose their allure and turn into just "those shoes"

I find that part of my female persona kind of frustrating@!

Second last time I went to the local consignment boutique I really thought for a couple of minutes that I was going to have to ask the owner to get me out of one of the dresses. It had dropped straight down on me, but there was very little spare room around the bust and it wouldn't lift up again. I'm still not sure how I managed!

I thoght I was the only one

I have this nice black skirt, with a zipper on the side (I think :strugglin) and a buckle on the front (I think :strugglin) and two buttoned pockets on the back (I think :strugglin) It looks good in any direction, but apparently it goes a certain way, as explained by my GG:p

Thanks girls. I don't feel like I am the only one anymore. It is amazing how such pretty clothing or accessories can be so complicated when you get them home.

In the past, I've got into some of my wife's clothes (dresses mainly) with a bit of a struggle (she's two sizes smaller than me, but many of her clothes do fit, but tightly) and then found I couldn't get out of them. It seems that you use different muscles to lift a dress off over your head than those used to pull it down onto your body, and that increases the size of your chest. Cutting them off was definately NOT an option. With patienceand time, though, I managed to inch them up bit by bit, after overcoming the panic reaction!

And I thought I was the only one that couldn't get out of dresses...

I've learned to try things on now after getting some tops home that looked great then tried to put them on and having major problems trying to figure all the straps etc on.Same thing with shoes

Yes i too have had this.....as i recall, the first time was when i tried on my sister's bra for the first time. As much as i wanted to wear it and see how it fit, i couldn't figure it out. But that just goes to say, with a little patience and a little study.......one can figure it out. As because now i can hook my bra from behind in no time.
