working in a dept store

After many years of working in construction I lost my job and we moved I needed a small job just to keep up with some of the small bills.I get a job unloading freight off the truck in a Huge dept store with a huge womans dept.I don't know if its a problem or a blessing.I see clothing I want all day but I get a discount.I've been there for years and no one knows I'm buying the clothing for myself,I get some real great deals,a few years back I bought around a hundred pairs of panties for 25 cents apiece.Just was wondering if anyone worked in retail for the discount or would think about it for saving money

I'm currently working in a dept.store, And i totally understand how you feel when you see all the pretty clothing :p.
If I was out of the closet I would be totally buying stuff all the time from it with my 25% discount.

I almost worked in a major dept. store last winter, but the pay was too low and the hours were too few. However, I really thought about it because of the discount on cosmetics (all the big name ones, too).

I worked for Sears years ago have thought about going back. I applied for a job opening once at a Commodore Tuxedo.

I had the pleasure of being unemployeed a few years back and took a part-time job at a local department store. Whenever we closed we had to straighten every department before we could leave. Nine times out of ten I got stuck folding sweaters or hanging jeans and slacks. My time in the lingerie department was too little and not very often. The good times came whenever one of the female sales associates would ask me to sign off on a purchase they were putting on the shelf (sort of a lay away) until payday.
To this day I still think Melissa did it on purpose when she was putting lingerie on the shelf. Kind of a nice treat being able to fondle her panties and bras in her presence WITH her approval.

I have worked retail twice. I worked at a women's clothing store, and before that a major department store. I didn't buy anything femme at either job, despite a discount of getting stuff at cost & 10% off respectively. Only once I bought something femme, but it was for part of a halloween costume, and I had a friend help me out (just fishnet knee-highs).

i once worked a job where flooding had occured. the dept store ZALES i wont mention any names!! but... throwing away many clothing items, sometimes we missed the dumpster!!...
