Haven't worn this in a while...

Hi everyone,

I sprained my ankle the other day, and although it is much better now and the limp is gone, When I dressed today, I found I could not wear any of my heels! It was still too uncomfortable. I was quite dissapointed. So I got out a pair of shoes I hadn't worn in a long time, with a heel, but just a square 1" one.

While I was reaching to the back of the closet, I also noticed a couple of skirts and blouses I had forgotten about.

What a fun day I had! The shoes may not be heels, but they are really cute and I had a great time mixing and matching stuff I had forgotten was even there.

Moral? Buying new stuff is great, but don't neglect your older clothes-you bought them for a reason. And personally, I don't always have to be in heels to look cute. I had a great day!

haveing resently emptyed my closet out and packed all my things up while putting back them i found a lot of treasures as well.......glade to hear you had a good play day... hope your foot feels better.............till then send me your heels for safe keepings..........

I am pretty sure that you would look great in old clothes or new, high heels or low.

Wendy, Yeah right, girl. Like someone once said, "I was born at night but not last night"! Your wardrobe is clothing warehouse compared to my little closet, anyway!

The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago when I moved all my clothing from one room to another. I rediscovered several dresses and assorted other items that had been pushed to the rear of the closet rod, items that I really love but had been cast back by newer things. Now they are in the front of the second closet, letting me become reacquainted with old friends. It's almost as if they're new!

You just reminded me of this really cute pink dress I haven't seen for a bit. I'm going to look for it right now! (BTW, glad the ankle is doing better).

Sounds like you had a fun day Melissa. It's especially gratifying when those older clothes that you have had for awhile still fit! Congrats to you babe!;)

I had the same experience last weekend when i cleaned out the garage .I found two big bags of clothes i must have stripped from my wardrobe probably two years ago ..when i looked i coudnt believe i threw some of those things out ..so i thought i would just take a few back ..Well after filling the washing machine 3 times there is only two or three things left to take to the starvation army (sorry salvation army) Apart from a lot of ironing i cant wait to try them all again ...xxx glad to hear your ankle is getting better
