Your first Time Out Were did you go
This has been done before but for the new members i would like to know for your first time out were did you go . or what did you do .. what did you wear ?
Guess I'll start my first time out
my first time out was to a grocery store . i got up early 6:00 am on a Sunday morning and i knew i had to do this for me .. after a close shave i chose my outfit black pants purple long sleeve top 3 in heels "big mistake" because i was paranoid with my male features i made sure my foundation was just so and did my makeup the best i could . After looking at my apartment door for it seems like hours i got the courage to walk out . i made sure there was no one in the hall way and walked to my car i can't run in heels lol . and then i was off to the store . for our Hamilton ,Ont sisters it was food basics upper Gage and Mohawk.. again after sitting in my car trembling at the thought . i got out and went in . it was now 9:00 am on a Sunday and it was packed who shops on a Sunday !!! again in fear and trembling i got a cart and walked up and down each row getting my supply's . nervous as hell . i only got half way done as my feet were killing me so i went to the checkout . waited in line the checkout girls are very chatty all i have was my deep male voice but everything went well. i got home and there were people outside the back door but i just walked in and no one said anything i got to my apartment door and the super saw me and said hi Hun your boy friend is not home .. he was about 15 feet down the hall ..good for me after i got in my apartment the first thing i did was get those dam heels off but nothing bad ever happened ..
later that same day i went out to lime ridge mall and again to my surprise nothing happened i found that people are too busy with there own lives to bother about me ..
My Reflection on this :-
You have nothing to fear but fear it's self ... my fear was unfounded all these years my fear stooped me from having a wonderful time interacting with others as my confidence grows i found that i can go out with no makeup at all. the sad part is since nobody cares nether do i . so for me theres no makeup just jeans flats and t-shirts .. but i have still found no one cares or notices or i am comfortable and i just don't see them . i hope this helps those who want to go out .. how about you what was your first time out ?

A year ago, I first went out to lunch with a GG friend at a Panera Bread restaurant.
Then, I went to visit an experienced crossdresser and she took me to a mall to shop at JCPenny, a wig shop, and then we went over to a Goodwill store.
After that, we then ate an early dinner at Applebee's.
I was nervous, but it felt great to be dressed for a whole day. :GD:
Ever since then, I was addicted to going out and so I went out as much as I could, building up confidence everytime. Today, I pretty much go out whenever I want and wherever I chose because I present myself as a woman, very well, and so I'm not nervous, at all, wherever I am.
Things that I had only dreamed or imagined, back then, has either been done or is waiting to be done. I flew in femme, this past October, and what an amazing experience that was. :c9:
If I can do that then there's nothing I can't do while dressed as a woman. :doll:

It was on a Saturday Evening, November of 2003. I had spoken on the phone with Rachel, one of the officers of our local chapter of Renaissance, TG organization, here in the Lehigh Valley PA. With her encouragement, I attended one of their meetings. I think I was wearing a blouse and a skirt, probably black tights and high heels, I don't really remember. Something that didn't stand out.

They were so nice to me at the meeting, probably 15-20 others, some veterans, some newbies like myself. I would encourage anyone to make a TG meeting a first destination. After all, this is suposed to be an enjoyable experience, not a dare which induces enormous anxiety. When you gain some experience and feel more comfortable about yourself, then add more and more different activities..

My first time "out in the streets" was in 2004, in Manhattan. I went to attend a meeting of CDI NY.
I was hepled by a GG friend tho put the final touch to my "en femme" appearance... Then she walked me out of her flat in Down Town Manhattan. She drove me through the streets and avenues of the Big Apple. I felt really great... For the first time I was out of the closet, driven in such an exciting city by a fabulous friend. The CDI NY meeting was also great... I really hope to have the pleasure to go again sometimes. But it is a bit far from France where I live now...

Went antique shopping with my SO. On that hot summer day I wore embroidered blue jean capris, lavender shell with white shirt over and sneakers.
Shopped for hours, had a Starbucks, bought some goodies and had a wonderful time.

My very first time out, I was pretty young, 15 or so, and went across the street to buy a newspaper out of the machine. After that, I'm officially hooked, and take lots of quick walks around the house after school, or whenever the chance came. Then came a long time-out, and really started back again 2 years ago,and my first big step was shopping at the Walgreens, picking up a few girlie items.Like riding a bike, after a few outings,I started getting my confidence and got to malls and department stores, but always stop in a Walgreens for good luck!

My first time I went with a gg friend and said let me help you with your makeup and lets go to connections a gay bar in louisville, ky thats very friendly and they have an awsum drag show late in the evening. Well we went in her car and I was nervous beyond belief but settled down after a bit of being in the bar. We had a few drinks, danced a bit and then went to watch the drag show. Well we finally left about 3 am and she says as we get into the car. I'm starved lets get something to eat. I'm saying the bar was one thing but this is too much for me.
Well she finally talked me into going so we pull into a very busy Denny's at 4 am and the place is packed. I am shaking like a leaf and as the hostess is getting ready to seat us I see in front of me 5 police officers. I think to myself OMG whats going to happen to me. Well nothing happened we got a few looks, nothing really bad we sit down and ordered something to eat. the waitress was great and said you look really good as she read me but was kind and courteous. We left her a good tip as the service was great too and we left. All in all it wasn't as bad as I expected but that was my first time.

I had tried to go out on a number of occasions, but had ended up frozen to the door knob and ended up staying in my room. Finally I made my trip to Las Vegas and was committed to getting out. I had a short-sleeve top with a light sweater and a long skirt. I also had a pair of shoes with a short heel that I thought fit well. I was staying at a motel across the street from the MGM Grand and that was my target. I froze at the door to my room for less than a half an hour but finally got my nerve up and went out.
I had to go down the stairs, across the parking lot, down to the corner, cross the street and then back up toward the main entrance. As I was crossing the street I thought that everyone was looking at me. As i started up the block toward the casino entrance my shoes that had been oh so comfy on carpet proved to be uncomfortable on concrete. They started to rub on my heel and I started to limp a little. Then I noticed my skirt was bigger than I remembered and the elastic wasn't holding it up. Before long I had the limp and hitch up the skirt move down pretty well. As I warmed up my home-made breastform on the right side started to ooze out from my bra. This was getting rediculous. Now I had to scootch my boob back into the bra, limp and hitch the skirt up while my purse was sliding off my shoulder. By the time I made it into the casino I had to sit and plopped down at the first machine I could. I didn't just want a drink, I needed a drink. I put a dollar in the machine while waiting for the cocktail waitress to pass by. She didn't, but my dollar jammed in the machine and the light went on attracting the change girl. I explained in my closest approximation to a female voice what had happened and how I would appreciate a drink. After another 10 minutes I noticed the three guys across the way at their own machines looking in my direction. I left the dollar in the slot machine, scootched my boob back into place, hitched up my skirt and limped out of the casino and back across to the motel and my room.
It was a disaster, but I did have a bottle of wine in my room and I could take my shoes off. I was so pleased that I had finally done it, but so unhappy that it was such a mess that I didn't know to laugh or cry. Since then I've improved my wardrobe, makeup, hair, breastforms and confidence and have gone out many times. One of these days I'll have to figure out why that was fun.

Never really been out. Last fall, I went to a couple of Rennaissance meeting underdressed. The first time I dressed at a meeting I must have looked frightful: I don't do make-up, my wig was a cheap one from a Holloween store, and my shoes were too big and killing me.
I've gotten a little better since then.
I'd have to learn make-up before going out in public. That would be a huge step for me.

I have been out many times but my idea of the first time out would be that of a time when actual people that I know would see me. With that in mind I fully dressed for a Halloween party back in 1978 at my bosses house. I was spectacular, weighed 140 and really looked great if I do say so myself. Was so sexy and irresistable that I took myself home and had my way with myself, oh those were the days.

My first time out (a little more than 9 yrs ago) was at a Halloween Costume Party that some friends were having. Many of the people there that I knew, told me that if it hadn't been for for my size (6'5" without heels, about 6'9" with) they would've had a hard time figuring out who I was.....I guess that was a compliment.

Gods, You know I thought and thought AND thought that my first time out was when I went to a meeting of "Neutral Corner" (CD group in San Diego). I just realized that the first time I went out was actually before that when I too went to a Halloween Party at my bosses home. I wore black heels, black hose, black skirt and a fuscia blouse with a long red wig. I did my nails and make up and just had a great time going out that night. Didn't have any real problems as it was on Halloween so I was not really out of the norm for that night.

My first time out was at a club called Pink Punters. It was a fantastic experience and such a great feeling and since then I have been out many times dressed. I have been to see friends in Bristol, Oxford, attended my local support group many times, been shopping in Croydon, Wimbledon, Lincoln and Mablethorpe and been to several partys dressed too. I have also made 2 return visits to PP and also been to a TV club in London called Transmission on 4 occasions. It really is soooo addictive being out and about as a girl.
I was a bit disappointed on my debut though as I had booked someone to do my make up as I obviously wanted to look my best but they didn't turn up but I was rescued by a good RG friend who did my face for me. I wore a black, lacy, floral dress, black tights (pantyhose) and some black heeled sandals.
From that night I was hooked and although I did lose the desire to dress last year it is now back stronger than ever and I am visiting my brother and his partner at easter and I will be dressed most of the time and we will be going shopping and out for meals etc.

Halloween 1993 or 1994.
I checked into a motel which was next to a gay bar. I dressed and teetered out of my room to the elevator. There was nobody in the corridor, to my relief. I got into the elevator, the car was empty again to my relief. I pushed the button for the ground floor and the car descended, stopping at the next floor. ARRRGGGH! Two couples got in, they looked at me and all smiled. The elevator finally got to the ground floor, I exited and wobbled in my heels across the parking lot to the bar. I found an empty stool and ordered a drink. I sat there trying to avoid eye contact with the other patrons. There were a few other girls at the end of the bar but I was too scared to talk to them. After I'd been there an hour or so a man sat next to me and complimented my curly wig. I had another drink and by this time my bladder was full. As I was afraid to go to the restroom there I went back to the motel and called it a night.
All night I was terrified. Scared of what, I don't know, but scared none the less.
I survived.
In spite of myself I had a good time.
For those of you who have thought of going out but have yet to do so; Pull up your panties and get out of the closet! You might even enjoy it.
