When I travel, I often underdress, and have never had any problems. But I just was passing through security in Berlin, and there, if you beep on the walk-through metal detector, they wand you. Well, I was wearing a watch with more metal than my usual watch, and that, combined with the underwire in my bra, was enough for me to beep on the walk-through.
So then the male agent wanded me, of course with the wand squawking on my chest and a the clasp in back; he just passed his hand over the back of my shirt, felt the bra band, and waived me through. No comment, no smirk.
Phew...

I underdress when I travel also, but you need to be careful of wearing metal of any kind going through airport security whether you are dressed or not. I can't imaging being asked to remove my shirt in order to take off my bra by security if it came to that.

I'm sure you weren't the first. Once he felt the bra band he knew what the metal was.

OMG that has been my fear for awhile now. I normally underdress when I travel and I travel quite a bit for work. I'm glad he was cool with it. Oh course he has prolly seen this alot.

I will be traveling this weekend and will fly fully en-femme for really the first time, I have underdressed many times and have had no problems. I plan on wearing my open toe sandals and a pair of Old Navy low rise jeans along with a long sleeve lavender top. I will not wear breast forms since I am naturally a 38C. I have a really nice jacket with a bow and tie strap. I will have all my make-up done and my short light brownish blonde wig. I do not plan on calling ahead and only have my boy mode Identification so I do have a little bit of trepidation about that but even if they need to check my ident further I am sure they will be professional about it. I'll let you all know how it goes next week. By the way I'll be flying out of Ohare to San Antonio then traveling on to Denver and back to Chicago so I will have plenty of opps for people to check me out.

I've done this a few times and was always looking around to see if I'd be pulled out for a check but has never happened

This past October, I flew for the first time from Tampa/St. Pete to Chicago, fully dressed in a business woman outfit (suit top, pencil skirt, black pumps) and went through security without any problems whatsoever. :)
My bra was underwireless and I made sure to take off any metal items, except for earrings and necklace, and when I went through the metal detector I had no issues. The security people were extremely courteous and friendly and didn't give me a second look.
It was the best flying best experience I ever had and I can't wait to do it again. :c9:

thats cool that you have had no troubles with security when you have flown..A suggestion, why not let the airport or the the Federal agency that handles security of the professional they do...Sometimes these folks dont get to hear the positive feedback from travelers....:2c::love:

Back in 95 I flew from California to Missouri. I was underdressed as I always am. I was wearing the underwire bra garter belt etc. I got beebed so they had to wand me. Of course the wand beeped at my thighs, the guard looked up at me, but kept going, next it beeped at my chest. All the while my friends are standing there watching the whole thing. So the guard said I would have to go into an adjacent room and disrobe. So he took me there told me to show him what was making it beep. I just unbuttoned my jeans and let them drop then pulled my top off, there I am standing there pretty much naked in front of a stranger, he tells me to turn around then I feel his hand rubbing my butt for a few seconds. Then he told me to get dressed, and he walks me back out to the metal detectors and says have a nice trip. Of course my friends want to know everything. At that time they didn't know I CD. So I told a lie. And that was it. When I flew back from Missouri to California, nothing happened, I walked through, it beeped, I got the wand, it beebed, the lady guard must have known because she let me on my way.
Then in 2004 I flew to California for Thanksgiving, I went through with the above again but also had to take my shoes off before going through the detecters, so of course everybody saw my stocking clad feet, Even my friends, but they never asked about it.
I also had my carryon bag searched, they went through it with a fine tooth comb. saw all the lingerie and other women's clothes, didn't even bat an eye.

As much as I dislike TSA the inspectors may not be all bad after all.

Don't show this thread to any terrorists.... They might just start making exploding boobs......
Next time I fly I think I'm going to have to try this, just so I have something relative to add ;)
