I know most have picked out first names for yourselves, but what about middle names. Myself I am thinking of using Lynn. Amy Lynn, sounds pretty good to me. My first name came from the song by Pure Prairie League AMY. I guess since I have started taking Hormones and my Breasts are growing it is important to me to have a middle name.

I'm going without one so far. I haven't done a legal name change yet, so I don't know, I suppose I could run into trouble later, but so far it hasn't seemed a problem to have just a first and last name.

I chose Renee because had I been born a girl that is what my mother was going to name me. I also chose it after the tennis player Renee Richards, formerly Richard Raskin.

I had enough trouble coming up with a first name!

I chose as my middle name Sarah with Annabel as my first name. I chose Sarah at random really. If I had been born a girl (I wish!!) then my Mother would've named me Ruth. I did think of choosing this, but declined to do so, as I am Irish and as a race, we don't pronounce the 'th' sound. So I would say Ruth as Root, with the t almost silent. So I declined.

Victoria Anne
03-03-2008, 04:21 PM
You have seen my middle name from the start Victoria Anne M..... now soon it will become legal , just a few more months to go and it will be T.Victoria Anne M.....

DeeAnn
03-03-2008, 04:23 PM
I chose Ann because I liked the name, it felt like my name and because when put with my nickname (Dee) it forms another name entirely. So I can go by Dee, Ann, Deann, or my whole name.

My mother told me one time she thought she would have called me anne when I was born had I been born female, but she could not remember. Anne was her middle name.

I list mine usually as A. but it stands for Ashley, one of my best friends and the t-girl who helped me get further out into the world as Sally! Most of the local girls have either three names or a middle initial so it just seemed right.

Until just recently, I never even thought about a middle name. I belong to several cd groups on Yahoo, and it was brought up in a couple of them. And now on this board as well. I know my name here and on some other boards is LisaLove But that sounds more pornish than lady like. I think Marie sounds nice Lisa Marie. Wasn't there a singer with this name? Anyways, My grand mother's name was Marie, so I guess I could use it in honor of her.

I change first names about once a year. I do not have the energy to choose two names.

Lisa Marie Presley might be who you are thinking of, although I suppose that should rightly be proceeded by "princess" since she is the daughter of the "King"

Jenna Lynn

I choose lynn as my middle name. The one person who I look up is my sister. I wanted to be like her, so I took her middle name as mine.

These are all so good and sound good together, some are standard middle names, meaning they go with the first name, I guess that is the way it sound be so when your mother yells at you it does not sound weird. JANE SHAWNA!!! See what I mean.

Mine is Avia, something to contrast with my old fashioned first name and short which I prefer.

Jilmac
03-04-2008, 11:12 AM
Amy, I chose Jill mostly because it was a no brainer, Just change one letter in my male name (Bill). However a middle name is a little more difficult. Should it be another one syllable name, or should I try two syllables? I want something that rolls off the tongue but doesn't clash with Jill. Maybe I could consult a list of girls names to find an appropriate one. Luv and:hugs: Jill

Lee is my middle name.

Mary Lee

mine, too. i have a lttle girl with the last name of Leighpronounced Lee and i would use it except in print people might think its pronounced Lay and that it was a randy or floozy double entendre.
so Lee it is!
just like on my birth certificate,
the one with the wrong gender on it.

Come on people Jill needs a middle name let's help her. Jill ???

Katie Ashe
03-04-2008, 07:12 PM
I googled what would go nice with Katie, and found Ashe sits nice with me, and it is different. So there she is... Lee was my middle name before I changed it, sorry no support on that one.

How's about Laylaa for a middle name? or change the spelling if you like...

linnea
03-04-2008, 07:37 PM
My middle name is Carol. My mother told me that if I had been born a girl, she would have called me Elizabeth. I like that name, but I like Linnea and I didn't think that it went well with Elizabeth (in either order, first or middle). I took Linnea Carol partly because of a Swedish taxonomist/biologist Carl Linneaus.
There's a bird called a linnet, and there is a flower called Linnea: both are very pretty. I like the thought of both of them.

Emily,

The two main reasons.

Caroline Emily Anderson is the main character from a novel I wrote, who is essentially me as a teen.

I admire Emily Dickenson.

That, and why settle on one pretty sounding girls name, when you can have two.

Lora, I'm not sure if that is who I was thinking of. I seem to remember a pop star in the eighties maybe she was teen pop star. Oh well either way I've chosen the names I love and won't be changing them any time soon.
Oh speaking of the eighties, did anyone love the big hair as much as I did? I still do come to think of it.

My mother told me they had picked out Marie and then discovered she had a son. Besides, I though Marie went well in between Sarah and Charles.
Honestly, I really don't know where any of this comes from, but I'm glad it's here.

Jill Dupree sounds good.

I chose Elyse. When the show "Family Ties" was on (remember Michael J. Fox's debut?), the mom was named Elyse. I really love it. It's just SO damned girly!

Mine is Marie. My mother told me that if I'd been born a girl (A little before ultrasound) my name would have been Kaitlyn Marie. I actually chose the name without realizing what I'd done. Hello?? Yes, it's Dr. Freud on the phone for you.

CD Susan
04-11-2008, 12:49 AM
I never really thought about this until reading this thread. I gave myself the girl name Susan many years ago but I have never had the pleasure of hearing anyone call me this. Sure I am called this online but it is not the same as actually hearing it. If I gave myself a middle name it would be Ruth, my childhood sweetheart. I still think of her even though we parted ways as children around 1962.

Hi,

Amy Lynn sounds fine to me [amy is a bit short on its own, praps]

I had a brainstorm when I last came out of denial. I chose a full name. It's a bit arrogant but I went for two barrels, Sophia Knox-Thundercliffe (hence 'KT'). I can't explain it, and am not so sure now; I just thought it was good at the time.

Makes me feel sassy.
