Hi Girls,

This may sound silly. My name is so drab. How did some of you select your name? So many are so cute and or exciting!

Hi Girls,

This may sound silly. My name is so drab. How did some of you select your name? So many are so cute and or exciting!

My wife and I spent hours looking through name books. As it turns out (we were looking seperately through them) we both settled upon the same name without consulting each other.

Heard a radio program suggest take the name of the street you grew up on, and the name of your first pet to create a e-mail name or password. Give it a try ?

Had a makeover at a CD studio... Went to copy the pictures that I had done, over to CD and the girl who did me asked me for my femme name.. Pretty much went with the first name that popped into my head. Tina was the first girl that I ever told of my desires and first real love. Stockman is my internet handle.

Hi Jean,

Actually I did use Jean once on AOL as it was my wifes name. Then I decided to go with my sister's name as her panties were my first experience. Thanks sis,,,,,,,

It was my first time in public dressed as female.

some girl: "What's your name?"
me: "Charles."
some girl: "No, What's your female name?"
me: "I don't have one."
some girl: "How about Chelsea? It's similar to Charles."

That's where my female name came from. I used it for a while and kept the personalities seperate. Chelsea was the feminine sensitive side and Charles was the masculine martial artist side. I forced myself into either role whenever appropriate. Later on, I realized that it takes both of these sides to create the one balanced person, me. I adopted the name "Charlie." It's a nickname of Charles, and can be either masculine or feminine, as I am daily expressed... although I answer to any of the mentioned names.

My preferred name is Vicki, taken from a character in an English soap opera. I thought she was lovely and adopted it. My user name stems from my fetish (Keri T I love your photo!!!), but I admit that chosing a name can be difficult, particularly if you want a certain image.

Kathrine
08-29-2005, 03:38 PM
I chose a name that I've always liked. Actually my wife and I had chosen it if we ever had a girl - we didn't actually two boys. So when I recently joined Kathrine was the first name I thought of. It just soundes right to me. I guess there was a place for a Kathrine in our house after all. :)

carson
08-29-2005, 04:20 PM
I've always hated my real life nick name and wished I had been named, or at least called by, my great grandfather's middle name which I really like: Carson. Plus, I have a girl cousin also named Carson so it shows that the name can go both ways.

Katie Lynn

The complete background story is a bit personal, lol, but it was givin to me by my g/f. She said afterwards that I just look like a Katie to her. I love it though, and it really feels like it fits me.

Ohhh I hate answering threads that have appearred before elsewhere... I can never remember what I said, and I think "W" (who shall remain nameless) is gonna nab me for changing my mind or giving an answer that's not the same as last time.

( Hey "W"..... It's a joke ok ? I think it's funny when you frag people who make it all up )

Anyway, I chose Jayme.... well, it's just my name and I like it, it's easy to remember and it's pronounced in a very similar way to my real name.

I used to have another name, but I never felt much like an Ermintrude to be honest.

My name came from nowhere after days of saying every name I could think of, out loud in my car, travelling to and from work. Natalie just sounded right for the girl who was, at that time, just emerging. Only later did I discover that it means "born" or "being born" or "being reborn", which I guess is appropriate.

My femme name is a hybrid of sorts. I was lucky enough to have been named fairly early in my crossdressing experiences. Very shortly after I came out to my ex-wife, she helped me with my fem name because it just wasn't fitting to be called by my male name when I was dressed or when shopping. Joanne is a combination of my name and my younger sister's name. She always suggested that I should have been born a girl instead of a boy, my sister and I should have been born in reverse order. I love my fem name, it suits me. The funny thing is my second wife's name is Joanne. I spent a few sessions with the shrink about that!!!

The 08 is my birthday and birth month and used for my log-in

Enjoy whenever you hear your name.

Love, Jo

For me its the same as Mary said it. If I would have been born a girl my mom would have named me Angela Marie. Since I wasent born a girl my aunt took the name and named my cousin Angela Jean. So thats what I go by. Angie :)

I got my name from a character I would play on MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role playing game). Guys who played female characters were called "mangina" cracks me up. I like the name so I stuck with it. I never picked a name for years. Worse thing to do in game is try to pass off as a gal, its a nightmare. People would try to talk dirty to me. I would have to reply "So you want to know whats I have secretly between my legs?" haha its great when they feel dumb.

I do not have many female characters for the games I play, its always fun to have them.

My guy name is Michael, I never liked it so michelle was definetly out. I wanted to keep the M, so I went onto one of those baby name sites and sorted through all the names making a list of the ones I liked. I used numberology (hey, one ways just as good as another) to thin the list down to 6 names. I gave the list to my wife and let her pick the name she liked. That's it.

I really stumbled across mine. I really hated my male name Donald, had to hear jokes about a certain "duck". I wanted something competely different and very feminine. I wanted to use the letter "S" , a very sexy letter. I tried "suzy", "Sissy" etc. When i came across Shaylynn, sounds like the name of Fairy Princess, very sweet and demure and so much like me.

My name was actaully chosen for me by Kelly when she started taking a greater role in my CD-ing . Until then the name I gave myself was Jennifer (Jenny) which to cut a long story short , kelly absolutely hated and said that she couldn't call me without bursting out in laughter. So hey ho , Julia I am.

As for 'Smith' , well lets just say that's a moniker I picked up a long time ago when I had to give myself a surname that wasn't my very unique actual surname. S o I picked one which (I hoped) most people would recognise as a nod to anonymity.

Hmmm. Alright the reason i choose Suzy Ann as my girl name is because if and when i might have been a girl this is the name i would have liied the very bes. There are others also that i like as well. But this is my favoritef or a girls name. Oh well As for the other nickname eleventh doctor that come's from the british scifi show Doctor Who I choose it because that's the doctor i would like most to be they have not got to him as of yet they are on the tenth doctor right now so maybe i still have some time on this hmmm indeed!. Suzy!. The Doctor Eleventh!. Oh i also have a neince named Suzanne but this does not count ot me as she know's nothing of me wanting to be Suzy Ann! None of my family know's of this really it is something that very few know anything at all about But then maybe it's rreally best that way. But that does not change the fact that i still wish to be female.

I chose Dana because it is a name used by both men and women. I feel it encompasses the duality of my nature.

Deborah
08-30-2005, 03:13 PM
My mother would have named me Deborah, but i didn't find that out until after i had already picked out my own name.

First name i ever picked out for myself was Cheryl. I changed it a couple of times after that and finally stuck with Amy. I've always liked that name. Later on i picked Leanne as my middle name and continue to use my real last name.

For my name here...Amy and i think the TS is obvious.

Haley was one from a Baby name site I found. It does fit me actually. It's sweet and caring. The Pink is " My fav color ". I had been listening to some CD's for Hypnotism and the name Jessica was used over and over. It still is a trigger for me even though I try not to let it be. I feel so sexxy when I am called Jessica. But that is the fault of the CD's I had been listening to.

Oh well, to stap rambling on. Ok Haley is a cool name and I liked it lots and my CD friends at TriEss seem to think it's a nice down to earth name for a person 50ish. LOL

Love to you all.
Haley:)

Many years ago, during a therapy session, I first saw how beautiful, textured and variably colored I was inside what seemed to me at the time to be the form of an ugly, dead man.
When I later tried to create a Yahoo address with Rainbow, there were 655 others already using it; so I went one more and added the year, 2004, for good measure. I up-dated it for this site.

Milla Dahmer
08-31-2005, 07:47 AM
I'm a big Marilyn Manson fan so for my board name I decided to use his process for naming, which is a supermodel first name and serial killer last name and so Milla (Jovovich) and (Jeffrey) Dahmer is what I came up with. Dahmer was the first serial killer I remember hearing of and Milla was the first supermodel I actually thought was hot. Still not sure on a female name, probly just stick with Milla though, I like it :)

Jesse69

Jesse is my real name and it is used for both men and women - so I never had to look for a femme name. But they sometimes spell it Jessie for girls. Anyway, my name really helps me a lot because when I buy womens clothes from ebay they think I'm a woman. Jesse "69" - 69 was used because that's the year I was born - 1969. I wasn't referring to the sex act "69."

Choosing my name was easy, namely because I was told when one becomes a woman. That woman is more likely to look the mother. Also I was recieving mail for my mother at my house. I don't why?, because my mother as been dead for more than ten years. I feel very comfortable using her name because for some reason I feel mother knew about my feelings. It's true mother always know!!!! I was her baby boy with special needs!!!! Dolores :)

In the mid 90's, when I first got on the internet, I read in a book that we should all have at least 3 screen names--a male, a female and a gender neutral.---The stated reasons were, of course, (especially for women) that a male name might be 'safer' at times and guys wouldnt be hitting on you. For a guy, a female name is good for anonominity and also good for lurking and chatting in places where males may be treated with hostility, or make others uncomfortable--etc.

I decided to use a female version of my own male name---My first name was out--as it wouldnt work well--so I chose my middle name. But That was a problem to--"mary" was my sisters name--no go, Martha was the most obvious, but I hate that name---I saw the name "Marina" as the name of an actress in Star Treck, who looked pretty hot--and thought it was nice , feminine "Mar" name, so i used that.---But of course, in cyberworld there are lots of Marinas--the network wanted me to be Marina 827461 or something like that.---I didnt want to memorise a big number so I decided to spell it out.--MarinaOne was taken---( other folks had the same idea)--so i tried again and finly ended up with Marina Twelve.

Interesting question. I've been through a few names myself.

I'm not sure that I identified a name for myself when I was younger or not, but when I realized at a later age (24) that I was in fact a CD I used the name Michelle Dubois for about two months. I didn't like the name too much and decided instead that I wanted to use my own initials to keep some unity between the two concepts of me. So, since I used to play a lot of pen and paper games I used my longest running character's first name, Erick, and feminized it to Ericka. A few years later I fussed over my middle name. Not wanting to lose my grandfather's name Joseph, I used Josephine as a middle name for a while. Since I like continuity in things I realized that Ericka Josephine didn't roll off the tongue all that well and switched it to Jean instead so that now I am Ericka Jean Morris en femme. It also made signing those tournament tickets for billiards easier because I can sign both male and female names just about the same. :D

Lisa Maren

HI everyone

My femme name, Lisa Meaghan comes from two sources. There was a girl I knew in my teens named Lisa who was my first kiss (if you count a kiss on the cheek -- I have yet to kiss a girl on the mouth, so I guess that's mine). However, there was also another girl named Lisa at my high school who used to wear pantyhose to class all the time. So the name Lisa comes from both of them.

The last name, Meaghan is just a name I've always liked (and particularly that spelling).

I also do have a middle name picked out for myself: Anne. Anne was another girl in my early teens with whom there were romantic possibilities (to the extent of what romance means in your early teens) and I remember her fondly, too.

Hugs,
Lisa Anne Meaghan

Choose the name that I have was not too hard.
Kayla - Was a name that my youngest daughter said she liked and it sounds very pretty to me.
LeAnne- First part of the name is my mothers middle name which was Lee and Anne I think it goes well with Le.
Smith- Is my mother madien name, I choose this for my last name to honor her because I am pretty sure that she always knew that I was more than just her son. And she was the one that had told me at an early age to be proud of who you are and never try to be something that you are not.

This nieghbor man ( a real S.O.B. whom I still dislike ) use to go past my home when I was a young child . He would sneer as he called me Connie Rotten exchanging the first letters of my first and last real name . And it stuck .Connie became the girl dressing in gg's clothes every chance she got. As for Rotten she is my true impish nature insisting others to be nice to Connie .
When I found so many on line Drag sights Connie Rotten realy grew . I have found many places to be the girl me on line . This is is the best one.
Oh : :cheer: I did this so much better this time. I didn't blert out what my given name actually is . I'm so glad I'm wearing a front clip bra with all this patting my own back I'd be likely to unhook it if it were not front clip  Some times I crack me up ; we Geminis

Like Kysmet, I have been through several names....

First, I was put on the spot when I had just started dressing by being asked what my femme name was, so I just feminized my male name.....

Tired of that, so then I used my grandmother's given name (which she NEVER used, preferring a nickname) because I thought it sounded beautifully old-fashioned and demure....

Then, as a lark, I decided to use a variant of the name of our late FBI director, who allegedly was a crossdresser, which is where I am now...

Perhaps in time, I shall select another (or go back to a prior one)

LOL. I actually have my sister-in-law to thank for my name, although she doesn't know it.

She calls me by my first name, and the initial of my last name ( Joe D). It is just a pet name she has for me, I added "lynn", because I always felt it was a soft, sounding name.

And when my wife heard my femme name, she gave me a great compliment by saying "It fits you", so Jodie-Lynn was born.

When I moved into where I live now, some 23 years ago, I had a dog named Katie Z Wolfe. I put the phone in the dogs name as a way to screen calls and remain unlisted except to who I wanted to have the number. It wasn't until about 15 years ago I decided to pick out a fem name and what better than the one already in the phone book. I have since changed the listing to my bizness, but I kept the fem name for myself.

Heard a radio program suggest take the name of the street you grew up on, and the name of your first pet to create a e-mail name or password.

hello all

well the cd part speaks for itself, i like music lol. no it means crossdresser obviously.

as for the isabelle part, well i have a girl that i knew and still know although dont see her that often, she was just so girly, full of life, a pleasure to be around, the life of the party so to speak and she just was everything i ever wanted to be in a girl. she is really sweet too.

thats how i decided on my name, just stole it from someone i admired.

kisses,

I havn't really sat down and put a lot of thought into it, but I did come up with one I thought was cute sounding and seemed to fit a little, I've been trying it out and it seems to be fitting me pretty well, I've been asking other people what they think and so far most have agreed.

Amber Denise Ryan

Alix is my name

I actually got my name from changing the "e" to an "i" and bingo,Alix was born! My little brothers mockily called Alexandria when we were young, and when it came time to get my female name, I remembered it and also, there was this girl in high school whose name was alix, so it stuck!
As for that whole street you grew up on and pet's name thing, I don't think 45th Chewie is an appropate name...All though I see it would be a nice fetish name though...hmmmm... :)

I put a lot of thought into selecting a female name for myself as I planned to stick with it once I chose it.

Debbie...I wanted a classic North American name that was popular for naming baby girls around the time I was born. I also had met a number of Debbie's throughout my life who had left an impression on me. One actually ran over me on a bicycle, narrowly missing my vital parts, when I was a kid. All of these Debbie's were confidant, assertive and outgoing, traits I admire and aspire to. Debbie also reminds me of Debutante and I can go along with that. Debbie seems like a loud and proud sort of name to me.

Kong...Just a private joke thing but nothing to do with privates.

Did a Yahoo search for my name last night and ranked 22nd.

Charlene Marie

The name I go by when I'm out and about dolled up is; Charlene Marie. but when I joined the group that name was allready used and I couldn't get in.
I choose Big Hair, like the big -hair hair-styles country music girls wore in the
60's&70's. Or, I could have used: Bouffant, curly bubble, French Roll, because I wear them all. Charlene is very close to my real first name, and Marie was a next door neighbor girl when I was a kid. I used to steal her bra and panties off the close line and try tham on. She was the first person I told my secret to and she was very sweet and understanding.

I was given the name Dale by my mother after the western star Dale Robertson, giving my age away now!
I know it works both ways but decided i would use something different and changed the first letter, less confusing for my SO. :D
