Hi all I know I have been quiet lately, but I just wanted to share the good news I just started my first day on hormones and I am so happy to have finally begun my journey. I am ding it the right way and seeing an endo was prescribed 2mg estradiol and 100mg spirolactone s to start with. And my insurance covered most of it, thank god for wal mart and their $4.00 prescriptions because estradiol is on that list only gonna cost me 14.00 a month for both I really cant beleive that. Anyway Iwanted to share my good news with all my sisters out there.

Androgyne blockers are as important as the 'monez themselves.
They prevent further masculinization, it lowers testosterones to make the estrogens compete less, and in addition it increases results better/faster.

Some include Spironolactone and Proscar and Avodart.

2mg Estradiol is still quite a low dose. I was taking 6mg per day and got good results in only 2-3 months.

That's a good dose to start with!

I developed fine on 2mg estradiol a day or the yellow premarins too.

But that was early on in the begining and I react sensetively and very good to female hormones.

Most people need a little more than that though.

Ultimately you want the smallest optimal dose.

Well, it has been 2 months on 4mg per day of Estridol. and doing just fine. I now started Sprio, my blood pressure is just a little high so that is why the doctor wanted me to start that. back ot the doctor in 2months and see how I am doing. Jena

You should be seeing some phy sical changes soon then...

One change I noticed, lastly, but it was above the buttocks, the low back area really built up.......going off HRT it was probably the first to lose weight in but it looks VERY femme after being on HRT, helps the curves..

Soon you should experience tingling and tenderness of the breasts/nipples and it may get a bit painful bumping into things, might suggest a padded bra....

Oh ya, like a padded bra helps when you bump a nipple on something!:heehee:

What would happen if I just took spironolactone by itself? I've been on finasteride for a couple months now to block the DHT and it's an antiandrogen. It just doesn't do anything as far as feminization.
