I have a dream . . . . Well, a plan at least. Partly from my CDing, partly as a protest against the current 'tribal' fad in mens piercings and earrings (look like spacers from v-8 manifold bolts hanging from their ears) Im going to start a slow change in my earring style. Up to now its just been a simple nickel stud at work, but over the next 2 months or more Im going to start swapping them out almost daily, as many different types as I can get, and slowly they will also be more and more feminine in style and design. Simple studs - silver studs - patterned silver studs (have some hearts) - gems and crystals - small hoops - etc, etc, etc. My eventual goal is chandelier style or when someone first yells 'WTF? Stop!'. If all goes accordingly Ill desensitize customers and cooworkers until I can just wear whatecer I want in my ears without extraneous hassle or comment.

Curious what you think of my plan, am I making a mistake? Think it will blow up in my face? Or am I starting a revolution here? hehe

Also, a question to the pierced among us, how feminine do you get with your earrings while in man-mode?

I have several different style studs, including diamond. As for other types, I have several patterned hoops in various sizes and one set that is more of an oval shape. All quite feminine. Never once a question from anyone. Not even from some of my really redneck customers nor friends!

As for your "rebellion" were what you want and hold your head high so we can all see them!

Hi there, I think your plan is worth trying lol. My partner only had the traditional man style 1 stud but really wanted both peirced. So after a fainting (ahhh bless lol) and ten quid she now has both ears done. She also wanted to wear something different from the usual stud, so going by your plan shes on the second stage now, she bought some silver studs that look, well abit girly lol, and NO one has noticed :)

I wear a different pair of earrings to work everyday... some plain studs, some crystal, some green or blue or red or pink <grin>, but always something. During holiday periods I wear appropriate ear jewelery as well... I have several different pairs of Christmas earrings, and Valentine's Day, and even some green four leaf clover earrings for St. Patrick's Day. Never had anyone have anything negative to say. I say go for it!

I love earings, love the feel of them. I have a pair somewhat heavy, not too long that just feel great dangling and swaying and tugging a little on my ears. I don't wear more than studs at work though and have been lazy about that for a while now. They just don't seem like much after the fun/thrill of more dangling heavier earrings.

I hope you start a full scale rebellion. I currently wear Monet luxury clip earrings only and some day plan to get my ears pierced. Hopefully in the next couple of years or so, maybe it can be a gift to myself when I turn 50!

Several people now think I'm wierd !!

I have gone from 2 studs to sparklies in the right ear and almost anything in the left ear! .... People ask why one ear and I say that I'm a boy after all!

I even wear 2 & 1/2 '' fat hoops in the left ear sometimes, and half cover that with a lock of hair. looks good to me and I'mthe one who's aproval I need. If someone has a problem with it its their problem.

I was buying groceries ot Woolies today and got 2 pair of "Wicked " pantyhose .... The SA looked at me at the checkout, and before she coud ask I said ... " yes I have to replace them ... I just laddered mine again!!"

Obviously she didn't believe me !!

Well, been doin' this for a couple of years now. Wear WIDE medium
size gold or multi-colored hoops 24/7. I don't even think
about it anymore, nobody notices or cares.

My wife, however, has NIXED chandeliers for me as being too
over the top. Oh Well....

Good Luck in your adventure!

I have a nice collection of earrings, for male mode my first consideration is "practical" since I typically do construction type work, between wiping sweat and swatting bugs I've lost one pair of small white gold hoops, so I wear a set of small round black studs. Outside of work when I'm by myself I like to wear whatever even out in public, but if I'm with the wife she would prefer I wore nothing, so I have to keep it minimal to nothing out of consideration for the support she gives me overall.
