I like dangly earrings, don't have pierced ears, and don't plan on getting them pierced (don't need any more holes in my head :) ).

Here is a link to converters I have bought that seem to work OK for me.

They are available in goldtone or silvertone, $7.95US for 6 pairs.

They allow me to expand my selection to hoops and post earrings. They wouldn't work with the fishhook shaped wires without altering the earrings.

I buy the pierced earrings for myself cheaply at dollar stores or other discount stores.

My wife has had her ears pierced since age 16, likes pierced earrings only, and is very fussy about them, says that the dollar store ones would probably turn her ears green.

The problem us UK girls get, is that quite often when we buy stuff from the US, we get 'whacked' (mmmmmm!) by customs and excise when the items arrive on our blessed soil.
As soon as customs see 'jewellery' on the label, and normally a small amount of value - they smell a rat.
I'm talking from experience here!
I bought a pair of hi heels from the US, at a bargain price of £10. Customs added £15 !!!

If you read the deescriptions of the earings at danglybitz (http://www.danglybitz.com) , they describe them in OUR language... "noisy and sexy'...... 'tarty' 'be a high class hooker' !!

They are such fun people to deal with, which is such a change in todays money grabbing climate.

I have spoke to 'Tina' who runs danglybitz (http://www.danglybitz.com), and she told me about the problems we are all to aware of, especially in the UK, of the lack of clip on drop earings. She has found a niche it would appear, and good luck to her.

i luv any kind of chandalaire style but i have to have them converted to pierced right now i have a pair of multi hoops and the look very heavy but there not i think what im trying to say is to me it helps from some one looking at other focus points about you and not always looking at facial features

Dangly earrings are so sexy. The Cliptomania link is great (Thanks!), but have any of you tried the magnetic earrings? You positively CANNOT tell them from pierced, though they tend to be smaller than the chandaleire types.

Tina: Thank you for tipping us off to a good web site. Earings are an important accesory. I have about a dozen pair and enjoy shopping for them in department stores. But sometimes you can never find that perfect pair for a special outfit. Your suggestion might just make life a ltttle simpler.

Hello ladies, you all look lovely, can't wait to get my pics on. I'm quite the techno-moron tho, but shopping (on a budget) THAT I CAN DO! I know there may some negativs reaction to this idea, but has anyone (US or UK) tried Ebay. I have literally dozens of pairs many bought there. I am particularly into vintage jewelry and now have some really enormous buttons as well as some fabulous chandeliers, and a truly marvy pair of signed Laurel Burch earrings, all clips. There are also several Ebay stores that specialize in clip-ons, vintage or new,inUS,UK andCan. Just go to Ebay and click on clip on earrings, it does take some work and you need to shop wisely but it's worked for me. Also love cliptomania's large hoops. Sorry to be so wordy but I'm a chatterbox in person too!

Thanks Julia for your link. Very very classy stuff, but I'm afraid a little too exclusive for my limited budget.
Danglybitz have just added some saucy trans related DVDs to their ever growing list of stock!
They also have a good video CD on makeup and deportment. I have bought a copy, and it really is good to sit at the PC, pretending to work, when in actual fact, I am getting tips on applying mascara!
