Aspen would like to thank everyone who posted on her recent threads and those who read them I know I can ramble a lot. Its just that I was so happy this weekend and so excited. After a day at work I am just coming down from a level that i have never experienced and it was my first time out I was strutting classily through the mall I was smiled at by a passing cop. It was so awsome. I know I talk to much but what can I say, but thankyou all for your inspiration and patience.

As one who had a small part to play...

I am both proud and ecstatic for Aspen. Her joy in life, her boundless enthusiasm, her courage , her personal growth and the sheer joy she exhibits is an inspiration.

Would that we could all realise such joy, such boundless enthusiasm, such happiness. She is an inspiration.

I am both happy and proud to call her a friend.

She has also revived my own personal joy in life, she has given me hope, she has made me smile. She has been thoughtful, caring and inspiring. She has made me laugh, she had made me think, she has made me both introspective and caring. Above all, she has reminded me that I am not alone.

And she did all that by simply being herself. She did that by being open, honest and pushing herself to her limits.

She is warm, bubbly, and full of joy. Something I lack.

All I did was scan a few crappy black and white very low res pics for her, yet the sheer joy in her eyes as she openly and honestly embraced her new self was a true joy to behold.

As a butterfly emerges from her chrysalis, Aspen is 'born'. The sunlight glistens on her wings and she emerges into beauty.

I am an old cynical bitch, full of arrogance, self-centered in my ways. I am 'snooty', I am somewhat paranoid, distrustful and very very cynical.

Aspen has taught me a great deal about myself. I am forever in her debt for that.

Yet , at the same time, she has taught me humility. She has taught me , or retaught me, a very important lesson. We here are all sisters.

We might squabble over 'petty' things, we might argue over the 'small stuff', but, above all , we are all 'sisters'.

It's good for me to be reminded of that.

Life has dealt us all a bad hand, but, only if we care to think of it that way.

Aspen is a friend, fairly new to this community. She is the first one of you 'wierdos' I've met in person, yet she has taught me far far more about myself in that short time than any number of posts could have done. Most of all, she has taught me that this *is* a community, that we are *sisters* here.

I had offered to help her post pics, with only one simple condition. That she help others when she could.

She has more than repayed that promise. I have learned more from her than I have 'taught'.

As she spreads those glistening wings, I can do more than simply sit back and smile. She is a friend, and I am proud to have helped in a small way to help her spread those wings.

(and it's late, very late, and I've had a few beers, I'm losing that 'serious' side of me...)

Wow Thats cool, amazing what a smile can do and a few drinks doesn't hurt. I can't wait to post the real pics when I get them. When I saw Them some have a sparkle in my eyes because I was so happy.
