Why don't you go to Italy they make the coolest clothes or go to a mall that sells those kind of clothes. White cotton tight skirts with a kind of off the shoulder blouse. Have you ever seen the Shania twain video forever and for always where shes on the beach. Mature but sexy and not a blond and one of the most desireable woman in the world.

Anita, you don't need to look better!
If you want to, try a new hairstyle.
A lot of women try to look younger but don't.
Don't try to hide your age, you've earned it.
Try pinning it up or put some flowers in it and you'll feel like a new woman.

I see no need to change your appearance unles you are planning on going out in public.
Dress as you desire, as long as it's fun. If you're sick of your current look, then make a few changes, to start with, and see if you like the changes or not before continuing.
You're only as old as you feel :D

I think the hair idea maybe a way to go.
Lots of GG's change hairstyles and their entire image changes along with it, and they don't change their entire wardrobe!
You do look pretty good for an old fart! :p
I of course can say that as one old fart to another! ;) I am almost 55 after all.
I don't try to dress young. I know I do sometimes, but it is a sort of conservative young, kind of like Katie Couric aged a little :)
I think the main thing is to have fun with it ... hmmm Shopping for a new wardrobe? Whhheeee!!!!
Maybe I was wrong after all

Anita - I can understand being fed up with a look but, of all of us, I'd say it seems like you are one of the ones that seems to really just enjoy dressing up and playing with looks - you're always trying new things and fearlessly posting pics for us all to see. You're an inspiration to the shy ones like me.
That said - advice for a new look... hmmm.
Try a short brunette wig and go for some more of the professional looking outfits I've seen you wear. You seem to do nicely in earth tones. Also, I'd love to see you play with expressions some more - maybe work on a smile for the camera. I bet if you see yourself having fun you won't mind 'the look' so much anyway ;)
How'd I do? Do I get a prize?

Donna,
Last time I heard that expression, it was "you're only as old as the woman you feel!", but in our case, that's back to how we feel isn't it?

Isn't change part of being a gurl its perfectly normal to get tired of your look thats why the stores have a whole isle of hair color. The fun of being a gurl is experimenting and playing and getting better at it so go ahead and change your little heart out.

No, I hold the title for "Age Inapropriate" dress. I'm just south of fifty years old and just a few years ago bought some clothes even an eighteen year old wouldn't wear any more.
You really look fine, Anita.

Anita, we're about the same age (I'm 59 this year). I, too like to seek different looks... everything from blue jeans to french maid. Changing your look as a girl is fun! Try one thing at a time... different eye shadow, different hair color and/or length, different contouring with your makeup, different shape brows. ANd then clothing... O-M-G! Casual, business, formal, dress, skirt, tees, blouses, fettish, leather, PVC, cotton, velvet, silk... Change, thy name is GIRL. Have fun! (We expect pictures:D )

Listen anita from what i've seen you don't look your age. But they say (who ever they are) that if you want to pass you can't make major and drastic changes to your age meaning don't dress like say a 20 year old girl would dress. Number one priority is to make yourself happy and everything else will take care of itself. Love you and take care Stephanie :)

I think you look fantastic for your age. I'm 52 and just changed hair style and color. It made a huge difference, making me look 10 years younger, so you might try that. I dress my age, but I might start trying a younger look because all the fun stuff is in juniors. Wear what you enjoy, it's your life and you don't have to answer to no one .
