Ich bin ein ....?

I have a number of skirts that I would like taken in at the side, and hit upon the idea of taking them to the lady who does alterations at the local dry-cleaner shop (she altered the legs of a couple of pairs of trousers for me), if I was to pin a new seam line. However she is German and she may ask why the seams should be taken in but not the waist. I want to quietly tell her they are for me; avoiding drawing the attention of customers in the dry cleaning area.

An alternative thought is a sewing machine, to which I have access. Is it simply a matter of sewing in a new seam from the waistband to the hem and then unpicking the original?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Actually, all the terms "cross-dresser" "drag queen" and "transvestite" translate to

transvestit (no e) Additionally, see the terms Transvestiten and Transsexuelle

Ich bin ein transvestit.

Ich bin ein transsexueller.

If interested, there is a song by a German Industrial band "Rammstein" called "Zwitter". Zwitter translates to "Hermaphrodite" in English. Neat song if anyone has I-Tunes or other music download programs. Also if you're not fluent in German I listed the english lyrics below. The song is sang entirely in German.

Zwitter :: Hermaphrodite

I have stolen a kiss from her
She wanted to get it back
I have not let her go again
We melted into one piece
It is just too right for me
I am a beautiful bisexual
Two souls under my chest
Two genders, one lust

Hermaphrodite, hermaphrodite
Hermaphrodite, hermaphrodite

I go differently through the day
I am the most beautiful person of them all
I see marvelous things
I did not notice them before
I can make myself happy everyday
I can send myself roses
There is no second and no third

One and one that is the same
Hermaphrodite, hermaphrodite
I am so in love
Hermaphrodite, hermaphrodite
I am so in love with myself

One for me
One for you
Is there not one
For me
One for me
One for you
One and one
That's me

I am alone but not alone
I can be together with myself
Early I kiss my reflection
And at night I fall asleep with myself
When the others searched for girls
I could already fertilize myself
I am not even downhearted then
When one tells me "**** yourself"

Hermaphrodite, hermaphrodite
I am so in love
Hermaphrodite, hermaphrodite
I am so in love with myself

One for me
One for you
Is there not one
For me
One for me
One for you
One and one
That's me

Check out the google translation program

http://www.google.com/language_tools

It couldn't translate crossdresser, crossdressing or transvestite but
cross-dress
translated into
Kreuz-kleiden Sie

I'm a man who wears women's clothes
translated into
Ich bin ein Mann, der Kleidung der Frauen trägt

I can't tell you how accurate this is but it is kind of fun...

In Portuguese, I'm a man who wears women's clothes
translated into
Eu sou um homem que desgaste a roupa das mulheres

Having had a little experience with a sewing machine .all you need is to follow the shape keeping your measurements equal and pin it. and if you have an overlocker just run up your pins and it will already be finished off otherwise you will have to trim the old seam afterwards ..Its actualy easier than it looks ...xx
