Well it was bound to happen sooner or later as I have been trying to find a way to tell my best friend about my dressing. Yesterday afternoon it just happened. I was standing in my office talking with her and we were discusing some crazy things I have done at work. After telling her of wearing a skirt all day while driving my dump tuck she said people probably would start to think I was a crossdresser if I didn't watchout! My response was, "I AM!" She was very cool about it and even asked if I was the CD that she has seen walking to the local market because if I was then I had better boobs than her! (too bad I am not!)

Just so happy she finaly knows and from what I can tell likes it I just had to share.:)

Wow, that is just great! You are very fortunate to have such a good friend. I for one envy you and I am sure there are many others who do as well. Thanks for sharing that with us.

Susan.

I'm in a similar position, but I don't have the guts to say it out loud. I've given her lots of subtle hints. I dream the impossible dream that she will figure it out but not actually confront me, but tell me she knows by dropping subtle hints herself, like her saying, "I'm going to Coldwater Creek at lunch you want to go"? There would be a million things she could say. But it is indeed an impossible dream because we are both married, etc.

That is great Red. I am sure you felt better after sharing with your friend. I have a super GG friend also that knows and has seen me dressed. She is very supportive. It was quite liberating when I finally opened up to her.

Only my wife knows for sure. It would be really tough to tell any of the other family members but to let a stranger or a friend know would seem to be a lot easier to do. I've worn enough of my femme attire a few times so that a few people have noticed and I've even admitted it to a hair dresser when getting my hair cut and curled and it was a very exciting moment. Some seem very accepting and others just seemed shocked.

I have a friend like that, while I know she knwos I have not told her.

Both of us are seeing someone else so we've kind of grown distant, er, not quite as close....still a good friend though.

Pretty awesome feeling eh? :)

Congratulations! Even though my wife knows and accepts, I secretly wish some of our friends also knew.

....Some seem very accepting and others just seemed shocked.

I think that's typical of most people. Some are narrow minded and have their heads in the sand, but many folks are the "Live and let live" type. Maybe they're "accepting" because they themselve have some sort of little secret that they wish would be more openly accepted?

It's areal shame that more people have closed minds about what we wear, after all it is just clothing and an appearance, but i think that more women are becoming accepting these days,no I don't think I could tell all my family, but sometimes it's good to get things out in the open,so what if i like to dress up every now and again I'm not hurting anyone, there are some really horrible people in this world, doing horrible things,I don't think putting on a dress and heels is so bad....Gina

That is great news that you revealed a secret part of your life to a friend! Perhaps this will be the start of shopping for outfits and discussing makeup techniques. It's always fun having a "girlfriend"!

Enjoy life, Chari

:yippee:Well this is just getting better and better! When my friend asked me if I had an article of clothing which I don't have she suggested that we go shopping! This is a step in the direction I had hoped it would go. This is so great and it happened because I just had a "laps" in thinking and just blurted myself out!
