I used to sell shoes at Nine West (those were the days).

I always fantasized about fitting into certain styles that we sold - but to get an 11 in, and we never got a 12.5 :(

I'm trying to find ladies dress shoes - with a thick, stacked heel, in regular dress colors like brown, black, burgandy... things that look like this:http://www.zappos.com/images/441/7149441/1733-107810-3.jpg

or

If I look for large size shoes I find hooker pumps or homely little flat sandals with awful designs and colors... can't a girl just find a good, sensible (yet sexy) shoe in her size?

Any suggestions? Ebay has a bunch of yucky junk from what I can see...

I had also found it depressing that all the shoes I wanted to get stopped at 10 or 11, even on Zappos. And it's true, the big shoes always seem to be TV Hooker type shoes. However, I did find some really nice ones on Zappos just the other day, size 13M, and of course I bought them. I received them tonight and they fit! Now I have sensible shoes to walk from my bedroom to the kitchen! Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I still love my 4 inch pumps though, and I can make it all the way to the kitchen and back without passing out from the pain. I have a much greater appreciation for women who wear those shoes for us.

That was the most perfect - that was funny as hell.

I'm still on a quest for these shoes - I'll find them and share. It's funny but I never forget a shoe... I want the shoes Dana Scully wore in the X Files movie, or at least something close.

Oh well.

I too have the problem finding sexy and cute shoes in a larger sizes. Who says women with larger feet don't want cute shoes. I wear size 12W. I don't want hooker shoes just shoes that most other women wear. I was lucky that Payless carries most of their shoes up to size 12. Ebay is also another wonderful place to look. In fact I have three pairs of the shoes you were looking for at the top of this thread. I bought two pairs at payless in black and navy and a brown pair off Ebay.
