I keep seeing the title and I cringe. For me there's no good thing and therefore no best about crossdressing. It's caused me far more pain than I wish to endure.

For me it is like asking, "What's the best thing about heroin?" From what I understand it's great while you're on it, but life becomes hell once you're off. It's kinda like that with crossdressing. Seeing and being "Stephanie" is fantastic, but then I pay dearly with my relationships afterwards.

I love to become Rachel and enjoy a all that she is. I really enjoy how I feel sooo fem in a skirt, heels, top, thong, and bra. It is a great feeling no doubt. Wearing lipstick when I smoke is a BIG turn on to it all as well. What can I say I just love it!

I hear ya. It sounds like you're a bit trapped and unhappy because you know you can't stop? I've lived with heroin junkies... and the transgendered. Once, a recovered junky told me if he could go back he wouldn't change a thing because now he had a changed view of the world - that the perspective had shaped him. Try to remember that - perhaps the best thing can be the perspective you have, even if it's a painful and shitty place to be sometimes... at least you're not the "typical male" ;)

To me, the best thing is - hard to find, for many of the same reasons. But, if I force an answer I end up with: escapism without chemicals. I still drink and such but when I dress I get the same effect (figuratively) that I used to get when ingesting mass amounts of hallucinogens ... I'm not me anymore, even in part - and sometimes, being me is a painful, sad, and embarassing experience. Even if part of that is because I wear a dress when no one's looking - I can still escape by putting that dress on.

Oh! And, before I forget, Donna - you have a great smile in your avatar! Pretty :)

Yes, It like an adiction where you cant and don't want to stop.. I've thought about quiting several times, but decided I enjoyed it to much.. I always wish I would have been born Female..sigh.....I didn't actually start doing this till about 20... I started with a little more and more and more.. Now I find I spend more on Female clothes now.. Sigh..
You real Females are soo lucky..

I enjoy wearing dress's also.. My problem is find shoes big enough for my feet.. in mens size, there 14 and 1/2... I would be cursed with big feet..

While crossdressing is an incredible turn on for me and it allows me to express a part of myslef I couldn't otherwise and I love the feel of feminine clothing, but physically and mentally, the best thing is now when I check out women I not only appreciate their feminine qualities, but I get to admire their clothes. It's like a double dose of fun!!
