I've lived with this since I was 3. It has given me anything but peace. Oh sure, there are moments, but overall the best word I can find for it is that.

Take away the crossdressing and I've got a great marriage. At the moment we're foundering horribly all because my gender makeup is awry.

Take away the crossdressing and I'd be far more productive at work, not wasting time in agonizing over how to make it through the next hour.

Take away the crossdressing and there's less of a reason to be castigated by family and friends for being who and what I am.

Crossdressing for me is like going to a prom. It's just that afterwards I'm reviled for being me.

Take away the crossdressing and a great burden is lifted from me.
