View Full Version : To all the goth CD's out there...
Where do YOU buy your hair from? I've been to various dread/falls sites, but am reluctant to dish out $100+ on something I can't try on...

Hey there Milla! Yeah, it's tough finding a good wig place around here. The only thing I could find that was close to what I'm looking for was a blue wig that gradually fades into black, and goes to just above the shoulders. I think I'm going to use it as a base to build a bigger wig from falls/clip-on-bangs from the net. If I could only find a decent store...

I found a retail shop nearby my office recently. They don't normally sell to individual customer but when I asked them, they gladly show me around their shop and advised me one which I wear now.
What did I tell them? As you can imagine, I told them there would be a show where I have to dress up on the stage. and there was no more question. SIMPLE...

Hehe... I told the lady at the shop where I got my wig that I was a crossdresser, plain and simple. She became surprisingly helpful after that.

I know she does custom dread falls for like $60-80:

And there's always ebay for premade falls.
That's where I got mine: purple and blonde cascading curls.

Another quick question - what's the best way to acheive the pale look, without using clown makeup? I've tried Ben Nye foundation before, but it comes off as looking very mime-ish.

Try this site. They have a white foundation and white powder.

I don't know how it would work with your skin. I would think it would help if your skin was on the pale side to begin with.

I've actually had better luck getting the Sepia brand wigs, and chop and color them to my liking (I personally went with a Midnight Blue wig, used a black hair dye to color in streaks, and accent with Rexlace). As for falls, I've had some good luck with a seller on ebay named Miaz (miprettipony83). Her stuff usually runs in the $30 range (as opposed to Hair Surgeon, or Cyber Destruction that runs $90-100 for synthetic falls). She's pretty cool, and she can make custom falls if you need (I ordered some black/blue miself, but might be changing my color scheme to a purple or pink with black later on). If you happen to order from her, tell her I say hi (Andy)

I don't miss Farscape so much, but I do miss Chiana, I love the way she looks.
I didn't know there were other goths. I mean I know Ophelia, but I didn't know there were others.
I hope the links work for you all. If you want to know more about goth fashion, just go to goth forums, people are always putting up links to shops.
