View Full Version : Reality of Using the Ladies Room

Although most of us have used the ladies room while enfemme, thinking you will not be read is an understatement of sorts. In this liberally accepting society today, you have to remember that most, if not all, women are modest when it comes to their "pit stop" private time.
I imagine there is a small percentage who won't care if you get in and get out quickly. I also imagine that some may, in fact, get a kick out of you.
But imagine when it backfires on us. Such as in a store that has security guards. A woman finds it personally offensive that you are a man impersonating a woman perhaps for what she may believe to be your intent on getting some sort of sexual kick from being in the ladies room. (remember to get in and out fast). She then complains to the store manager that she is disgusted with his store and will never come back. In fear of her spreading the word to al her friends or the public, the manager, now in fear of his job, calls store security...store security retains you (I'm not sure if they can) until the police arrive.
If the store manager or woman complains to the cops, the charges could likely be one or all of the following:
Breach of Peace, Disorderly Conduct or Simple Tresspass.
I realize this is an extreme scenario and in many cases will not happen unless in the likely event you encounter the wrong person. Using your better judgement, in and out quickly and leave the store afterwards.
Just a thought to keep in the back of your mind. Lets be careful girls!

We don't suffer so much from that problem in Europe, luckily. Unless you're performing some lewd act, nobody really cares.
We tend to respect the men's and ladies as seperate places, but mostly by convention and not by fear of consequences.

This subject again.
Anyways, the best thing is to use a restroom at some plae like a clean gas station where you will be the only occupant.

She can scream and pitch a fit. The cops can come. In California I have the right to use the bathroom I'm presenting for.

That makes sense to me. I guess there no specific laws regarding this. I think up until now and in the future, you may see more unisex bathrooms.
When I use the ladies room, I try to be swift and make no eye contact..if not I just smile.
We've had this one a few times. In the case of stores, you are on private property so though you are protected by law, you are subject to the rules of the store owner as regards where you go and what you do. So they can eject you (peaceably) if they feel like it.
I've also noticed in the UK that we have female attendants in mens toilets at such places as motorway services, hotels etc. I think it shows a slackening off of gender-related toilets. Thinking about it, it's twice as expensive for the owner to keep 2 lots going!

I as you, used to worry alot when enfemme because of course you COULD NOT event try the mens side. except maybe hallowe'en But I too avoid any bathroom where i am not the only occupant. However on my last casual outings (they get more frequent now) i did attend a ladies room in a Walmart and didnt linger BUT stopped to put on some gloss and was spoken to by another attendee but i agree always be carefull.Just blend in.

My wife and I were talking about my CDing the other day and she asked what I did if I had to go to the bathroom while I was out and dressed up. I said, "I use the ladies bathroom". She looked at me for a moment then said, "Yes, I can see that it would be a problem if you used the mens room".
She asked if anyone noticed I was a CDer. I told her so far no one has said anything, even the one time I had to wait in line. Then too, I am sure the other ladies in line were more concern about using the bathroom than me. LOL
She laught at that statement too.

There have been a number of times that I have had to use the restroom and I have always used the ladies rooom. Going into the men's side while dressed female would be dangerous if it is not Halloween. The times I have gone to the ladies room I did my business, washed, checked make-up, if alone, and left. There have been times gg's have been present and no comments were made. Of course, I would not strike up a conversation but I would act my best female manner.
Be safe.

Because of where I live, this can be a real bugaboo! Here in Iowa, it is illegal for me to use the ladies room. Hence they could have me arrested ( I called the police station and asked ). There are places where they prefer CD's to use the ladies room (some of the GLBT bars). So you have to know the lay of the land. As for using the men's room while dressed. I have and have not had even a comment. So, it takes knowing your enviroment and how they will react to either choice. OR asking the management what they prefer. Many people have said it is dangerous to go into a men's room dressed. I am not sure it is dangerous, yes you might get hassled, but I doubt anyone would resort to violence ? Of course I'm in a pretty mild mannered state. This is a topic that I worry about, especially if I am out alone.

The reality of the situation is that, for the most part, using the man's room en femme is far more risky and dangerous than using the ladies room. The worst most women would do is complain to a manager or a security guard. By then you are usually done and long gone. Most wouldn't take the time. I can imagine a disapproving or easily offended man doing much MUCH worse.
I'll take my chances in the Ladies room.

I dont have that problem because I make sure I dont need to use the gals room before I leave to go shopping...I think I have used the ladies room at stores or malls maybe twice since I been going out in public and that has been about 15yrs now...when i go clubbing, its the ladies room for me and I find most women dont really care if you use the facilities like a lady does:2c::drink:

Same is true in New Jersey now. Since last June when the legislature passed a bill giving us the same protection against discrimination as other groups. We are permitted the use of public facilities if we are presenting as women. I personally wouldn't dare use the mens room.

MJ....OK let rephase that

Over the past 15 years I have always used the girls room when dressed and never had a problem. I would be terrified to use the mens room unless I thought I was stronger then anyone I might meet in there, not likely.

years ago I was doing some climbing with our pastor and immediate post climb he heads off to the woman's outhouse at the trail head. Noticing my questioning look, he replied that the woman's room is always cleaner than the men's room. I thought it was a heck of an excuse and have been using it myself since then.

at the saddle between the Grand Teton and Middle Teton, at 11,600 feet above sea level, there is only one bathroom; it has rails but is under the open sky.
most peaks have no facility,
but responsibible outdoors people bury their scat so microbes can break it down.
long before i dressed, i got a secret thrill from using the women's loo in deserted buildings!
foreshadowing...

Off topic, but another good one? When you hike up the switchback trails up Mt Timpanogos in Utah, there is a bathroom at the top that is virtually built into and hanging over the side of the sheer cliffs. Probably one of the most beautiful (and hard to reach) bathrooms I'd ever been into. I can't remember if I used the men's or women's side, though. :) Probably whichever had the better view.

But imagine when it backfires on us.
Has it, in fact, backfired on you - or are you perhaps just imagining what might happen? :idontknow:
I've always found women in the loo perfectly friendly - and I don't for one moment believe any of them think I was born female? Scuttle in and out as if you're afraid and ashamed and people will quite reasonably think you have some wicked secret to hide?

I think that anyone that goes to a public restroom for a thrill is a bit weird. I go because I have to use the toilet (or maybe to touch up my makeup). I would never go to a public restroom just for the thrill of it. To me it's no thrill at all; it's a necessity.

In and out quickly, with a quick stop for make-up--I've never had a problem, but I am a bit cautious.

This is interesting:
The 2003 International Building Code requires that all new construction and substantial renovation for public restrooms include a family, or unisex, bathroom. Most new, large venues such as malls, airports, and sports arenas, now include at least one type unisex bathroom in addition to men’s and women’s public restrooms. But not all states have adopted the codes. Planning construction or renovation? Check your local public restroom regulations.

I've been living as a woman for almost 9 months now, and I would never even think of using the men's room.
Think about it... A lady in the men's room? That spells trouble to me.

When I'm out I always use the ladies room if a family/unisex facility is not available. In and out with a quick make-up check and never had a problem.

So far I haven't had any trouble using the ladies room in any public building or area. If and when it would cause anybody to complain and file charges. I would simply have to roll with the punches. Regardless of the consequences. I would continue to use the ladies room, or if there is one available, the family (unisex) bathroom. Luv and :hugs: Jill

This is why most business will not say anything! The U.S. has became a litigation society and if the woman complains she may follow th scenario however she will sue the business! then the person removed will also sue the business. The m2f cannot use the mens room due to safety reason as a f2m cannot use the ladies room!
The bes practice is to find a unisex/family restroom.
