I have been working a couple months on coming up with a 'femme' name and her-story. I think I finally have settled on 'Dita Bach'. It is quite clear and represents my spiritual heirs. I unfortunately could not come up with something simple as my given name does not transition well.

Dita is in reverence to the goddess 'Dita von Teese'.

Bach is in reverence to the goddess 'Charlotte Bach', an incredible woman whom I deeply revere.

There is talk of a movie of Bach's life starring Alfred Molina ( we can hope).

I am not sure if / how to change my idenity in these forums but I will start using this in my signature forthwith.

Best wishes,
Dita Bach !!

I think the best thing is to feminize your own name...Paul becomes Paula...etc.
My birth name is Chris, so it is easy.

Like Christy, I initially tried to feminize my male name and came up with Jane but it evolved into Janice one day when I saw a picture of pure sexual excitement named Janice. My apologies for stealing her name.

Years ago, I went with Samantha Anne. (Good for Sam & easy too, as Samantha's can be called Sam too.)

But it didn't feel right to me, so when I became a member of this forum I gave it some deep thought and came up with Sandra Marie, which I feel suits me better and I've stuck with it.

We do have a choice, you know. So pick what you feel best suits yourself.

I like the name. you don't have to have a femme name thats close to your male name. Thats up to the person it has to be something you would like to be called. Dita you picked a good one.

Dita, I think you picked a good name for yourself. Obviously you gave the matter some thought and picked something you like and is unique at the same time. I went with the name Susan because it starts with an 's' and has five letters just like my guy name. Also I think it is a cool name as I have known several gg's with that name who I really admired.

I agree; certainly my femme name is not close to my male name. My male name doesn't have a feminine version.

Thanks for the responses, there is something that seems to get clarified by just 'trying on' a name. There are names similar to my male name but really I'd like something a little more 'goth'. As I listen to Dita, it doesn't quite feel 'goth' enough. I guess I am trying to give my Anima a little shadow too, lol. Elvira and Esmerelda aren't quite right.

The goth girl on "Navy CSI" is named "Ammy".

I had a hard time coming up with a name. Thought I would go with Christine, since its close to my birth name, Chris. For some reason, it didnt fit with my look. My wife was looking at me and said that I looked like a Carol. I looked in the mirror and it just fit, so I added two R's and two L's and Carroll has been my name since 2000

My birth name is Donald, so I am Donna Michelle. My middle initial is M. My favorite brother is Michael, but I didn't pick my name because of him. I had my femme name before I met my wife and her middle name is Michelle. Just a coincidence.

Dita Bach sounds like a name that could be spelled incorrectly, but at least it is unique. If it fits you, then that is fine. I have a friend named Ashley Bottoms! She is NOT a porn star, just a beautiful crossdresser.

I chose my first name by going through the alphabet & picking the 1st name that I liked. Didn't take me very long lol. My wife gave me my second name, but she doesn't know about it. A few years ago I bought 2 ballgowns, & when I wear them & walk around, because of the material they are made of, they make a lovely rustling sound. So my lovely wife started saying to me "are you having a rustle tonight?" or "have you been rustling again?". So I thought it would make a nice name, & then changed rustle to Russell.

I think it's a great name! I can be tough coming up with something. There isn't a femme version of my male name so I had to start from scratch. I'm a sci-fi enthusiast and I read a lot so I nicked my name from the main character in William Gibson's "Pattern Recognition". I did personalize it with the pronunciation though. (In the book, it's pronounced "case", but I switched it to "casey")
