Almost a Victory

As some of you may know, in Ontario (Canada) we have been waging a bit of a war over the past 10 years since SRS funding was withdrawn. I wrote a letter to the Ontario Minister of Health on the 9 May 08. You can read it here. (http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1292968#post1292968)

This news item cropped up yesterday. It isnt quite a victory yet but the battle is nearly over.

We still have a ways to go to get gender included in the Ontario Human Rights Code but we are vigilant.

Congradulations! It does sound as though you are nearly back on track. And, I'm sure input such as your letter is a definate help.

Well they finally announced they are resuming funding. I have issues with their approach and conditions but take what we can get one step at a time.

The real prize is getting gender added to the Ontario Human Rights Code. We are working on that one.
