Thought I'd share here with some of my friends, that tonight I took another major step in my journey and went out into the real world (lol) - not controlled TG meet-up, just shopping at a mall, walking on the Atlantic City Boardwalk, casino, and Dunkin Donuts, driving around... and it felt so damn great. Dressed conservatively in nice jeans and layered top, didn't draw much attention but I'm reasonably sure a couple made me.. but that's their issue if they're uptight about it!

Made a gal contact here, but decided that this was something I had to do for myself, on my own, so I went solo,, glad I did and I wish it was for much longer. Anyways, just thought I'd share the moment with all of you who have given me some encouragement here.:battingeyelashes:

When you get into the swing of being out by yourself you want more time. I know the feeling all too well.

good job Keri!
your confidence will make you even more apparently real with time and familiarity than what they "made" of you, if they did!
but i am most moved by your pleasure.
great!
have another adventure!

Congrads........It was not that long ago (2006) when I went out solo. It was at a Gasoline Convience store. I filled up the SUV, then deciede to buy a bottle of water. Walked into the station store. There was another customer talking to the attendent. They both looke at me for a moment before going back to their conversation. I got my water and the other customer was gone when I got to the counter. Paid, got a "Thank You Mam", and left. Smiled all the way home. Now I go to Payless, ROSS, Target, Walmart, and etc. Feels great everytime I go out.
keep up the good work. Soon you too will be out all the time.

That's great raquel, congratulations on your first steps to freedom :). As you discovered, the world didn't end and I'm happy you have the right attitude
didn't draw much attention but I'm reasonably sure a couple made me.. but that's their issue if they're uptight about it! because you are absolutely dead on right.

Here's to many more adventures in your future :drink:.
