We need some kind of CD friendly symbol, like that little kosher symbol on food products, that merchants could print in their ads, that would let people know the merchant was CD friendly. :heehee:

Excellent idea, and in fact I've heard of it before from a friend in Amsterdam who wanted stores to put a symbol in their window to indicate they are CD friendly. Unfortunately I didn't keep contact with that person, so I don't know what the outcome was....
The issue I see is how could "we" come up with a universally accepted symbol? Maybe I'm just being shortsighted, and probably am.

I have yet to go to a CD unfriendly business so don't really see the need for a secret symbol. The Secret Transvestite Handshake should be enough.

Dress appropriately, conduct yourself appropriately and every business is CD friendly.

Ditto that! I've never had a problem weather dressed or in boi mode.... businesses want to exchange their goods for your cash..and the customer is always right!
Ifyou still want a symbol try the pink & blue one in the upper left corner of our masthead.
So go on in and ask.....does this dress make me look fat?

Actually Megan, the question isn't "Does this dress make me look fat?".
The real question is " "Does this dress make my butt look big enough?"

Someone ( I think it was Tamara ) had a link to a place that sells that symbol as a pendant. I like it myself !

I like the symbol idea.... Some of us are in the closet and just seeing the symbol on a window or necklace would give some of us hope.

I might want to get one of those pendants. It's subtle enough that ignorant frat boys/meatheads wouldn't know what to say about it but gets the point across to someone who would understand. Oh do you sense the bitterness? :p
I'm not an American, but the Statue of Liberty seems to sum up what we do and who we are. She shines the beacon of light and freedom from oppression into all corners of the world. Now thats what I call a symbol!

I like that symbol. I need to know where I can get a good picture of it.

We do have a symbol. CASH, VISA, MC, & DISCOVER. Show that and they are extremely friendly. Also it pays to be polite noone really likes an A-hole.

This is very true as well as dressing the right way for the business you going to.

a certain subtly piece of jewelry like many aledged secret societies. A copper ring or wrist watch with a blue band. once observed, Eye contact then followed by a subtly confirmation gesture, like a scratch of the ear followed by an odd question like excuse me "Im from out of town where is a good place to go to get my tires rotated and what time is it." then use military time 08:00 = 8:00am or 14:00 = 2:00.
