I was travelling this weekend and stumbled onto a gay bar that was
having a drag queen contest. There were several CDs,TVs there also
I didn't plan on going out dressed up because I didn't know about
this place (It was right across the street from the motel that I was at).
I will be going back to that area at the end of the month.
Does anyone know of any travel guides on the internet so that a girl
can find T-friendly places in the city she is traveling to?

And there's a lot more.
Note some cities can be searched using google and keywords such as --drag, gay, transgender, clubs-- among others.

Jamee, you are a few hours from my location. I have CD friends on MySpace that are close to you. Search Google for gay friendly pa and you can find bars, clubs, bed and breakfasts, hotels, churches and more. Or search CD friendly pa or TG friendly pa.

The gay friendly places are more tolerant of crossdressers than some places, even if you aren't gay. The drag queens can be a bit snobby to crossdressers. The performers wear stage makeup and are a bit over the top while straight crossdressers like me want to be passable or feminine.

PA CD/TG resources (http://www.tg2tg.org/resources/us/pennsylvania.htm). Some of my friends mention Rainbow Mountain. I haven't been to meeting places yet, just shopping with my wife. I hope you find a place you enjoy!

I know how catty drag queens can be. There was one girl in
the contest who was more of a tgirl than a drag queen. She
was very pretty and passable but didn't win and left in tears
after the contest was over. I did see some of the queens talking to her
before she left. I felt bad for her and wished I could have
talked to her before she left.

There should be a contest strictly for tgirls if they don't allow us to compete and/or win at drag shows. Drag shows really are more dramatic and less about passing. I know some tgirls that could fool anyone even without drinking!

I would love to enter a sexy legs contest.

Thanks for the good advice. I would really like to find some friendly places in Washington state (not too likely anywhere but Seattle, I guess) or Oregon.
