Think I seriously need these done again.. I should never do anything while I have bright pink nails... (not even going there with the hairs.. that needs done too)

Can't tell from the photo what's wrong, but if you say so :p

How to apply polish (IMHO):

Smooth the nails by buffing first.

Apply a clear base coat (OPI Start/finish).

When applying color (OPI), wipe one side of brush on jar opening when withdrawing brush.

Apply polish on other side of brush to nails starting with a first strip down the middle of the nail, then moving to either side of that strip. Do not keep going over the previously applied polish in an attempt to even it out, it will only smudge.

Let dry, repeat.

Apply clear top coat (OPI Start/finish).

But don't over buff... you can damage your nails. The heat that builds up from buffing the nails causes friction, which can then make your nails split.

I tore a nail pretty bad yesterday, mine are very thin. My wife noticed me bleeding and looked at my hand, then she noticed my nails were longer then hers! LOL

She suggested I trim them so it wouldnt happen again. :(
