Well, for those of you that have read some of my posts, you all know that my best friend, who is a GG, knows about my dressing. Although there are times she does not like to talk about it, last night we did talk about it. We were talking about the times she used to drag me shopping for clothes with her(before I came out to her) and that she hasn't has a good shopping trip in awhile. I told her I also have not had a good trip shopping. We both picked a date to go shopping in a couple of weeks, on a day her husband is at work and her child is at school. The only problem is that I would have to take off the day at work. Normally, this would not be a problem, but the day we picked is day that I probably have to be at work mandatory. I am hoping that when I go to ask for the day off I get it, but at this moment it just might not happen. I guess that life is funny in the way that as soon as your up, your brought back down again.

So, pick another day. That can't be the only day her husband is at work at the same time her child is at school.

Unfortunatly, picking another day is not an option, due to her husbands every other day schedule and her child finishing school the week after the date we picked. I picked that day would of worked perfectr for me due to that day being the one day a week at work where I don't have much to do. It just turns out that I will be in charge of my office that week and have to pretty much babysit the co-workers.

I know that feeling, happened to me last week. Had to miss a club meeting.

She can't go shopping when her husband is home, or would you have to pick he up?

I have to pick her up. He has no problem with me, but I still think that he does have a bit of resentment of my friendship with her.

Yayy! I got the day off. Now the game becomes where to go and what to buy.

I was wondering if any of you had any advice for me. This will be the first time that she goes shopping with me and as much as I want to buy a couple of bras and panties, I don't want her to get to freaked out by my actions. Do you think that having her see me buy undergarments might scare her off from going shopping with me again? I do have thoughts on other things I would like to get, like jeans and a denim skirt and of course some tops. I don't want to overwhelm her. Please let me know what you think I should do. This is a major step in our friendship, she does not usually like talking about my crossdressing.

Sindy is gonna have fun! Okay, here's what I would do. Make a list of the things you really need to make your wardrobe more complete and concentrate on those items. As a GG, I wold hope that your friend would understand that a girl just HAS to have some things... but if you feel the sight of you buying "unmentionables" would make her uncomfortable, maybe you could make those purchases while she's trying things on in the dressing rooms. Just a thought!

If this is the numero uno time with her, i would go for the outerwear like jeans or a top.

But consider alternatives to clothes. What about some fem jewellery? A small signit ring or necklace - go wild - get some studs and get your ears pierced!

Not all crossdressing is just about clothes (although some here in the forums might argue against that!).

Why not get something fem that you both can share? Say a matching set of whatever ????, and you have one part and she have the other part to represent your combined acceptance of your crossdressing as friends (don't let it go too far - her hubby may get jealous).

Just might thoughts - i hope they give you some guidance.

Sorry for being late, I was having PC problems last night, but I just want to tell you all that shopping was a blast! We began our trip at J C Penny where my best friend not only made me feel comfortable, but whenever there was someone near us, she would ask questions outloud to me like "What size is she again?" or "She's really going to like that." to help cover up the fact that I was getting stuff for myself. I walked out with a pair of stretch jeans(they came with the cutest light blue belt), a pink pleated miniskirt(which my best friend picked out), a black skirt (great deal on this one, from $45.00 to $4.77 in the 75% clearence section), 1 pair of nude pantyhose, and 1 pair of gartered hose(which my best friend convienced me to get). for my personal thanks to her, I bought her a pair of stretch jeans also. I couldn't find any tops that I liked so it was off to Target.

At Target, I picked up a pink shell and a black cardigan. My best friend was looking at the bras across the clothes and asked me if I was going to get undergarments(my fear was that her seeing me buy undergarments would be too much for her). Of course I said yes. I picked up a black bra and since i am a bit of a comic book nerd, she found some panties that had the Supergirl logo on them. She talked me into getting those (like I really needed my arm twisted) We then looked at a few nightgowns, but I had decided that my credit card had been dented enough, so we ended the shopping there. All in all it was a great day, and she told me that she would like to go shopping with me again.

Well, I still need to get some jewelry, wig and forms and I wouldn't mind getting some new shoes, so sure, if you come with, I'll get you a skirt...lol.

the idea of purchasing a matching set sounds like a fun idea, my GG has often brought a bar & nickers set & gladly offered me the nickers.
