I had to call them coz I just couldn't not know when I was going to get an appointment for. Anyway, I have the consultation on the 9th September @ Cheltenham hopsital, at 11am :) Around ten weeks away, which is quite a bit, but at least I will have a few things keeping me busy until then, so hopefully the time will go quickly for me. Yay I just cant wait now :yippee::yahoo::rave:

Will do Capt! Oh I had one last piece of lemon sponge cake earlier on, my gf was teasing me with it, so I thought it only fair to not let her eat it all :heehee:

But yea, you can have my share of it all from now on :D

So I went n saw thesurgeon yesterday morning...........

He got me to erm, take me top half off, n then scared me cos he took one look n asked if I had anyone in the family with breast cancer, which was worrying but he didn't mention it again. Well actually no, he saw the size of em first n said this is gonna be harder than he though coz of the size, then he said the cancer bit.

But yea, anyway he had a poke n prod :( n said he is going to do it in stages, coz he doesn't want me to have huge scars, he said it will be tricky coz of the method and because of the size if that makes sense. The method he is going to do is to cut round the nipple, leave it intact n take the rest out like a polo n a bit of liposuction around the inside n let it heal. Then he said he will do another op to sort out me nips, which is kinda scary as I was hoping for one op, and I didn't mind about the scars.

He said because he is going to do it that way that there may be lots of complications n the main way would be easier, but said he didn't want me having nasty big scars. Ultimately he sad yes though, n that he couldn't give me a date right then, because he is going to sort it out n see me a short time before the op to explain the procedure in more detail n tell me what to expect etc. He said absolutely nothing about my weight until I mentioned it, n said I will try n lose some more, he just said thats good because the stabler my weight is the better.

He also said when I see him next time we can tell the 'person who knocks me out' (cant spell anaethietist or whatever) that last time I had surgery I could hear what was going on, and he said they will make sure it doesn't happen again, which is good :)

The waiting list is no more than eighteen weeks max, and then I signed a form because he wanted me to have some pictures taken in another department, and he let me go off to get them done n then I left for home.

Wow, Ryan, that's exciting - and a little scary. I know there are different methods, depending on someone's size and the doctor's preferred techniques, so I hope what he has in mind works for you. I'm always concerned when I read about the ones that remove the whole nipple and then sew it back on (yikes!), so this actually sounds better to me.

Are they going to knock you out completely? I had two surgeries done with only local anesthesia and in each case it wore off too quickly and they had to admnister it again and again, so I would only do it with complete, total general anesthesia now.

I wish you all the best. Thanks for the update and please keep us posted as the date grows nearer. Good luck, dude! :hugs:
