I do not dress in Public right now...
But I verry well might!
I think that us CDs SHOULD!
One thing that I CAN NOT STAND IS...
Drag Queen Clowns....
I Hate The DQ Clowns, Who prounce around in DRAG And make a HUGE JOKE of IT!!
CLOWNS GO HOME!!
And let us be who we are!!
WE ARE NOT CLOWNS!!
But yet alot of the public thinks we are as SUCH!!!....
BECAUSE OF DRAGQUEENS!
The Dragqueens make CDs & TGs look like fools!
I Think....

I am not talking about the tastefull DQs.. Just the CLOWNS!!
You know what I mean.. The distastefull lot, Who crossdress and Try to get reactions.. Because they Stand Out..

I have to say that if that is what they want to do then who are we to judge? Being who we are I try to give everyone a fair chance. Look on the plus side society may expect crossdressers to look like that so when you are ready for the public there is less of a chance you will be noticed.

I really don't like to be judged, so I don't judge others. Sometimes it is hard to understand where others are coming from, but we must be understanding and compassionate. If you aren’t, then where do you stop when throwing others under the bus.

Being a DQ is an art form Hon and a whole different ball game. We prove who we are by what we say and what we do.:)

They are actors performing a role sis, they do it for money!!
We dress because it is part of who we are, it,s a big differance.
I doubt many of us would walk down the street with the O.T.T. looks they use when performing, most of us try to blend in when we,re out and about and probably wouldn,t get noticed anyway.
They dress like that because they want to get noticed...It,s a form of satire!!

'Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged'.

DQ's are an artform and a profession to many, i know there are a few girls who consider themselves DQs on this very forum and you have just insulted them...they are still part of the gender spectrum just as you are....do not judge others, unless you willing to be judged yourself

Ok, I'm sure I'm going to catch alot of flack for this but here it goes. I'm one of those that's a complete and total liberal. I think people should be able to express themselves totally so long as they are not hurting others in the process. That being said, I agree with Melora to an extent.

I think some of the more ridiculous examples of "Drag Queens" can be just awful and detrimental to the TG community. If you've ever seen Fox news or any other trash conservative network or show, you'd see that they are the ones who they show when they talk about TG's or homosexuals. The fact is that Drag Queens are pretty much the GLBT equivalent of blackface. Sure the jest can be fun, as I'm sure blackface was in the past to most, but at the end of the day the entire community are the ones who pay for it.

Self expression is an important thing and they should be allowed to dress and wear the makeup they want, but just remember that that if we wanted to we could also dress up as hateful caricatures of asian, black, mexican, etc. people. Sure you could do it if you really wanted to, but freedom of expression does not make it right.

If dressing like a drag queen makes you feel good and that's who you are as a person, then more power to you. But if you do it for attention or profit, then I'm sorry but I just can't defend that because I know that when my family and friends thing of crossdressers and transexuals, they don't think of wonderful people like yourselves, they think of this:

http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/9821/dragqueenkw8.jpg

And when something like that is what represents what we are to alot people, then we'll never really get anywhere. It is because of images like this that we can't tell our family or our friends who we really are. It's a joke and we're the punchline.

You may now stone me with rocks if you'd like

end rant.

....and what's the difference between 'tasteful' and 'clown'? Who are we to judge? They have just as much right to self-expression as we do. If you don't like them, just look the other way, don't insult them here, or anywhere.

I'm not trying to jump down your throat Melora, but please think twice before you speak, what you said may be hurtful to some, and that's just plain stinks.

Lighten up hun. They are who they want to be for whatever reason they wish to be that way. It gets them noticed. may be it the only way they feel they can get attention. Maybe they think that's how a woman should look. They do their thing you go yours Not really much difference there I think your just quieter about it. :hugs:

Oh fgs, get over it, you don't go out, no one is giving you a bad name, all you're doing is pissing off members here... People here don't judge you, you have no right to judge anyone... This thread is done!!! We have rules on this forum about judging people for what they choose to wear, I suggest you READ THEM!!!
