It is not something you can just decide to do. You have to be referred by a counselor.

What's the rush!?!? This is MAJOR, MAJOR surgery. Proceed. But do so with caution and safety in mind. If I had money, I'd give you some. Pray that my work permit comes through and I'll through you some dough. :)

Have you been on HRT? Have you lived a full trial year as a woman? Just having the dough can not prepare you for a permanent life changing surgery. You must go through the proper channels first. I would think about all of this alot more, since you've already told us you have only been out dressed twice. That's nothing compared to a lifetime as a woman.

I usually try to be humorous in my responses, but there's nothing funny about this LIFE decision. Contemplate for a moment if you will, the prospects of having made a mistake. There are no junk yards for replacement parts (I'm not laughing) only a big LIFE sign that says "no U turns."

If ever there is an adult decision, this surely is it. You have done the right thing in asking for help. As my distiquished friends have alredy written: slow down. Think. Think hard. If you are so disposed a little prayerful contemplation might even be in order.
