RenFaire season is starting up, so now I have to ask myself:
Breastforms? or a new sword?
Helmet? or Wig?
And I've really been wanting a mace...
Maybe just go with a nice cloak and some new thigh high boots. Those can at least do double duty.
Too many toys, not nearly enough money.
So now I get to live a triple life. Sigh.

Anytime you can utilise things for multiple purposes, you're in front.
It could be a good way to introduce cd stuff into your daily appearance - who knows?
Keep an open mind!

Thanks, really had to go there now didn't we!! usually try to get to 3 or 4 fairs per season, i fully intend to go dressed en femme at least once this year, of course that's another outfit i'll need to buy, but could accessorize with one of the nice effeminate looking swords i've been looking at. Do have a great Renaissance, wish you lived closer it'd be a hoot!

Breastforms and wig get my vote, then you can attend enfemme and not have to carry any burdensome weaponry ;) Just carry a purse and a nice ladies fan to keep cool.

I vote wig and sword. That way, if the style isn't good on you (or you get bored with it), you can - chop chop chop into a new style.

Same here... Why not both? A female warrior! (knight, whatever...) I'm not firmiliar with the event, but, if you can swing the extra cash, then do both!
Pssst.... maybe add a Xena (Zena?) type corset with the helmet and sword?

I'm a (junior) member of a troupe, and we actually need male fighters more than female fighters. (Especially since lots of places think female fighters aren't "historical"--which isn't actually true.)
Besides, at the moment it's easier for me to keep the manly man separate from the girly girl.
