I haven't had any time to dress up over the past few months due to a number of personal things going on in my life. Nothing really bad is going on so no need for anyone to be concerned.

Anyway, I haven't had much free time alone to dress up and I hate to say that I haven't missed it that much. While I used to check this web site all the time, I am rarely here any more.

I've gone thru cycles like this in the past where I have lost interest in dressing and this is usually the time when I might purge my clothing. Having been thru a few purges and regretting them later, I'm not going to do that again as I assume I will be interested in dressing again in the future. It should be great then to get into the old wardrobe!

Just wondered if anyone else had been thru a similar situation, how long it lasted, and any comments on what it was like when you broke out the old CD wardrobe after a long break.

I spent several months off with either no time or no desire to dress. When I got into my old things I found I had gained a couple of inches around the middle and couldn't fit in some of my favorites. The only way to make up for it was to go shopping!
It's happened a couple of times and I tend to try and fill every opportunity with cding once I get started again. I tend to level out eventually.

Many CDer's go through various cycles. I myself have gone months sometimes without dressing all the way. You are wise for not purging this time, as you will again want to wear your pretties.

I too go in cycles. I think it has to a lot with my stress factor. If I'm stressed out (because of finances, etc), I dress more. It makes me more relaxed.

Hi Christine,

Sounds normal to me! Good idea not to purge, as the desire will return in time. Don't feel bad about not dressing, just enjoy whatever else has you occupied.

The whole idea is to be OK with ourselves and have fun. Just check in with the site from time to time.

I have no idea how long the cycle could be, but for me when I do want to dress again its wonderful.
