Hi all,
Are you 5'7" - 5'9" tall? I am just about 5' 8" (173cm) tall and weight about 150 lb (68kg) with about a 30-31in (76-79cm) waistline. Id like to hear from others that are 5'7" - 5'9" tall. What do you weigh and what size girls/womens clothes fit you? Im try to get down to about 130 lbs to further reduce my waistline - do you think this is possible? Anyone 5'7" - 5'9" tall and weigh 135 lbs or less? What is you waistline and what sizes do you fit?

Thanks
Luv and Hugs,

I'm 5'11 and 140lbs. I can do a 10 or less, but I have to go up a bit in leotards due to a long torso. I actually have a thin feminine frame. Never thought it would come in handy until recently...

You are pretty close to my size. I couldn't go much lighter unless I want to be skin and bones. I am 150 and was down to 145 for a while and that gave me a pretty thin waitline, but it caused me to loose fat off my chest and waistline so now padding is required. It seems like if you loose almost all of your body fat, your system does a reset and depending on your hormone levels when you gain the fat back it distributes differently than it was before...at least it seems like that to me. Note, I'm active and have some muscle. My size is somewhere in the 8 -12 or medium to large depending what clothing it is.

I am 5' 8" too and weight 139 lbs. I have a thin frame as Zenith said so I look feminine when I dress, unfortunately my waistline is not what I'd like it to be. To be honest, I'm fat because I can't shut my mouth and eat all kinds of food I shouldn't. Don't take me wrong, I'm not over my ideal weight because I have thin bones, but my belly is something I'm not proud of.

I run 3 miles (not every day but I try) so that helps me keep my figure but getting rid of this horrible belly takes more than that... and I just don't have the will to eat "healthier" so to speak. The only solution I found was great though... CORSET!

I can do a 9 easily, 8 is also fine, but less than that only in some clothes.

I am 5'6" and 138 lbs with 30" waist now. I am size 8 dresses, 3 or 4 bottoms, and medium size tops. I was 142lbs, about three weeks ago. I am working on getting to 130 too but am really not sure if my waistline will change. I will let you know when i get there. Though, I do remembered when I was 125 lbs, I had 28" waist. :daydreaming:

you sound like you just about right for your height to me. if i were you, i wouldnt diet to loose weight, rather just exercise to tone. you could probably stay same weight but still loose an inch off your waist.
The troble with dieting is you cant control where the weight comes off. For me, once i get to the lower end of my ideal weight for height zone, i start loosing weight off my legs...and they look worse for it.

I'm 5'9", slightly under 300 lbs, 46" waist, and I wear a size 18/20 or 22 dress size.

You sound like you are just the right size at ~150ish... I haven't been that size since boot camp.

Well Patti...It's gonna depend on your bone structure, too. If you're big-boned, you may need some extra muscle mass to make everything work correctly.

I'm 5"9 and fluctuate between 129 (my high school weight) and 140 (when I become a couch potato in the winter time. Who knew that cable TV causes weight gain?). But, I'm a rather thin-boned kinda beanpole anway, always have been. Ectomorph, they call it. When my mom worried that I was too skinny, she took me to the family doctor who advised that if I wanted to gain weight, I'd have to eat over 10,000 calories a day!

When I get to that 140, and have to buy jeans with a 31" waist, I feel uncomfortable. So I go on my non-diet diet. Less carb-filled junk food, more veggies, less meat, no bacon, and never soda! I also try not to eat any carbs after 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

I don't exercise regularly on purpose, but I do live pretty actively with lots of swimming, hiking, and at work I take the 3 flights of stairs about 20 times a day.

But I'm also one of those hyper-active types, that never sits still. When I'm sitting down, I'm still always moving, whether it's foot tapping or leg swinging or even finger-tapping. Even this little bit of constant motion can rid us of a substantial number of calories, if we're not constantly refueling with a bag of cheetos and a mountain dew at hand.

Figure out your body type, (ecto-, endo- or mesomorph) and then just work at getting to and maintaing the lowest healthy weight for that type. Don't starve yourself...

And don't forget your mlti-vitamins!

Oh! and sizes? Well, having a slim, but trianglar shaped body, I often have to get a 10 or 12 top just to get shoulder width or sleeve length, but wear a 7 (29") in jeans. (I often get larger jeans or skirts, though, and pad out hips, butt and thighs to get a better proportioned shape.) :)

I'm 5'9" and weigh 132 lbs. My waist measures 30". I'm in the UK and dress sizes here are different from the US, but FWIW I seem to be somewhere between UK sizes 12 and 14 (US 10 and 12). According to the official size guides published many places, I should be a 14 UK with a 30" waist, but in practice most size 14 skirts and jeans are about 32-34" waist, and much too big for me in the hips as well. Mostly size 12 (10 US)is about right in pants and skirts, but I have to be careful, as I have seen size 12 clothes with a 26" waist, which I could never squeeze into. And then, I find that many size 12 dresses and tops are a bit narrow in the shoulders, and tight under the arms, so I tend to buy size 14 more often in those garments.

I am still dieting and trying to lose more weight, as I would like to get down to a 28" waist and wear size 10 UK (8 US). The only fat on my body is around the waist; if I eat too much carbs all the weight I gain goes right there. Nothing on the hips, butt or bust, where I would love to have it. So the only way to get a better figure is make the waist smaller, and I hate seeing fat there anyway. I am losing 2 lbs per week on my diet and exercise program, and staying fit and healthy; another month should get me there.

5'9" and 152 lbs. I can wear skirts anywhere from US size 8 to 12 but tops and dresses generally have to be size 14 to fit over my rib cage. :-(

I'm too tall for this question...but I have probably see as many CD/Tgirls/etc as anyone in person...so will take a stab at it.

Frist off your height and weight sound pretty dang good to me. But it could not hurt to diet a bit and see how ya look. If you have a small frame you might be able to pull off a super skinny look. But then again I see some tgirls that are too thin..they get that Triangle Look going...Big shoulders that angles in to small hips then skinny legs. You might need a little meat on your bones!

Finally low impact exersice is the key...tone up those muscles yet avoid bulking up or getting cut muscles if ya know what I mean. I have from time to time gotten myself down to 175 pounds on a 5' 10" frame. Thats still probably a bit heavy but I was exersising so much I was toned and very happy with da look!

All That being said I totally blew my diet and exersise program and now am back on it fighting my way back to a 20 pound reduction to get me back to where I was last year. :Angry3:

Patti, sorry I am excluded from your heights. But for the sake of general information give my stats. Also I am very envious of girls your size. I had a 28inch waist in high school but by 5 yrs later it was more like 40.

So I am 5'11". weigh 200-210, Dont laugh: bust 44, waist 43, hips 42 (not counting the fat overhang)

Wonder if that is called a pyramidal figure?

With a belt to squeeze my middle, I do appear to have larger hips than waist. What an illusion! :daydreaming:

I wear an XL in tops and skirts or a 16/18, and a 38/40 in one blouse, but its loose even with my 44D's.

I'm 5' 7", 155 lbs.... but want to get down to 150. Lower than that, I'm too skinny... my waist is about 32. Size 8 pants and skirts... XL in tops.... I have a 40" chest and athletic build, so my shoulders are too wide to suit me. I never thought I would be saying that. LOL I always wanted to be taller, but now I'm happy with my size. It makes it easier for me to pass as a girl. :-)

I know I don't qualify for the question, but I envy all of you girls who are small framed. Makes everything so much easier doesn't it. Unfortunately I'll never be able to do that as I'm big boned, and built like an NFL Linebacker, the best I ever did was 190, when I was 18. Oh the cruelty of it all.

Hi All,

I'm 5'9" and weigh 174. I wear a size 14 I'm working on shedding a few more pounds. Would like to lose another ten pounds or so. I was down to 150 back in my early thirties. But my metabolisum is'nt what it was then. I've been biking twenty five miles. In the morning when I'm home and find a stationary bike when I'm on the road. Do love what it's done for my BP I'm 120 over 70. Was 145 over 90. One of these days I'll be able to get into a size 10!! LOL

I am 5'8' tall and about 157 lb. I work out 5 days a week and should lay off the weights because I have a 42 in. chest and wide shoulders which cause me to wear a size 14 in dresses. In skirts I can wear a size 10, but I seem to be a bit top heavy. Been lifting longer than dressing, and it is hard to stop, just like dressing would be.

I agree with Deidra. Many t-girls who are too thin don't look femme at all, regardless how they are dressed. It's better to have some fat here and there to look natural.

I'm 5'8" and 155-160, and feel it's a good balance for both drab and femme. Size 12's work well for most things, and, at least in my mirrors, I look reasonably proportioned as a woman.

An aside...I've always tried to hide my upper arms in femme mode because they were kinda big, and used to be a bit muscular. Just the other day, I wore a junior t with very short sleeves since it was quite warm. A gurl at Carla's remarked how lucky I was to have "plump" arms, so typical of mature women. Hmmm, gotta show 'em off more, just don't flex:battingeyelashes:

I'm 5' 9" and 152 pounds, so I'm in your zone. My stats are 37 bust, 31 waist and 38 hips.
I always reckoned I looked kind of wimpey as a man but I'm better in a dress.
UK sizes are a little different - I can wear a size 12 dress in most brands though some are a little too snug and I have to go up to 14. Definitely size 12 for skirts.

I'm 5'9 and 160lbs. I have a 31 inch waist. I still have alot of trouble in the sizing department. Depending on where I get the item from and how it's made, my size changes. Right now I need to work on slimming my belly down(rolling waistband).:)

I'm 5'7" and weigh 135lbs. I'm rather small framed and usually wear a size 8, and sometimes a 6. My waist is 30". Idealy I would like to put on a few pounds while doing daily crunches to keep my waist down. (easier said than done).

I'm a tad under 5'9" and weigh 160 (give or take a pound or two on any given day). While I keep an eye on my weight to maintain, losing 5 or 10 pounds would do absolutely nothing for my feminine presentation. If nothing else, it would probably pull from what curves I do have. Sizing out there is crazy. I consider myself a true medium but have dresses in 6 and even 8 and jeans which range from 4 to 10. Tops I usually go with medium or large but depending on the designer, sometimes I have to resort to an XL. But you can't let that stuff get you down, that's just how clothes are made these days, sizes all over the map.

Dear Patti, I wish I was as svelte as you but alas, I am 5'8" and weigh 162 lbs. I just measured myself today so I could place a catalog order from JC Penney, and my waist is 33" hips 38" and I wear a 38 DD bra. I would love to get down to a size 8 but I think it's only a dream. I have lost some weight but I doubt I'll ever see a 30" waist again.

I was at my peak of 195# in 2003 and could barely squeeze into a 16. Losing 33 lbs has put me back to my size 12 which is what I consider normal for my body mass. If there is the slightest chance that I can get down to a 10 I'll be a happy girl. I'm just going to take a wait and see attitude. I'm not dieting but I'm eating less than before. I consider it quite a success to go from a 36 waist back down to a 33. Maybe if I lose another 10 to 15 lbs. I can fir into a 10 dress :D Luv and :hugs: Jill

I am 5'10'' and weigh 145 lbs I can go as low as 135 lbs but only on extremes, my waist is 29, bust 36. I can wear a size 10 with no problem and I totally agree some fat here and there is better.

While I am 5'10" tall, 150 pounds average weight with a 28" waist, I found that 44C breast forms gives me a enveable proportionate figure. I am light boned and can wear a size 10 dress, and large blouses work for me. Just remember GG's come in all shapes and sizes. So shall we. It is not the weight to height ratio that is as crucial to passing, as the permanent removal of facial hair. Nothing gives you away quicker than 5 o'clock shadow. I recommend you dress you age, if you are 50+, don't go out in mini-skirts or goth if you want to pass. However, for your health and appearance, I agree with the others, reduce you weight (it shoud make you happier & healthier).

I'm 5ft 8 ins and weigh 76kg (167 pounds)

I've been loosing some weight recently, but am very mindful of the fact that if my face starts to get too thin it will look less feminine - that is, less of a rounder shape. So I'm cautious. It's a carefull balancing act I guess.

You girls that are small in body size regardless of your height are so lucky. I am 5'8" and weigh about 215 lbs. I am broad shouldered with a 46" chest, 34" waist. Same here, except I'm 5'6". The green ladies suit I recently posted pictures of I almost didn't buy because it was labled a size 8 and yet it fit almost perfectly.

I have clothes that are marked "petite" and they fit perfectly, and I have clothes that are marked "large" and I have to squeeze into them. Most misses sizes tend to fit quite well on me however.

I'm 5'7 and 3/4 inches tall or I just tell people I'm 5'8. I am amazingly overweight with a male pants size of about 36-37. People rarely notice or comment on my "spare tires" and "couch pillows" because it's all sorta spread out evenly on me in body distribution and I don't look fat and corpulant. But,hey,I'm 52 and for health reasons I've been tryin' to diet for a year now and the last 2 times I was at the doctor I'd lost about 15 pounds. My GG freind who's passed away was almost exactly the same size and height as me and we wore eachother's clothes all the time.

I am 5'4" and 115lbs. My waist is 27" and I wear a size 4 - 6 jeans. A few years ago I worked out daily and weighed 135lbs. It was very difficult to find female clothing that fit properly due to the size of my neck and shoulders so I made the decision to back off on the weights. Every now and then I get the desire to start working out again, but now I do low weight and high reps for toning.

It's funny, 'cause I was never really happy with being such a short male, but my size rocks for a girl - go figure...

I'm 5'8" and just under 170 lbs. The last 20 or so lbs, the result of middle age. sure, I'd like to lose that 20, but more than that, I am hoping the hormones, and more exercise, at least shift some of that from the slight male beer belly to the hips and butt. I don't think I need to get much below 150 to appear authentic, and even if I stay the weight I am, women come in all shapes and sizes. I do not wear body shapers of any kind, unless I am wearing a very sheer and slinky dress, which is pretty darn rare. I am who I am. An imperfect looking woman. That's ok.

I'm a size 12, U.S., or a large, in most fashions. I may go tighter in skirts and jeans sometimes, because genetic males have no hips! lol! I was also blessed with reasonably sized feet, size 10, women's.

Hugs,

Melissa:)

Just under 5'8" and now at 165 with a 31" waist, 38C chest. Wear sz 12-14 dress, medium skirts, large tops.

Got as skinny as 137 and wore sz 8-10 dresses with a 29" waist, but people around me were worried that I was too thin.

I'm 5'8, 153lbs, and wear size 10. I can go from a 32 waist down to a 24, but I am also corset trained so i have an advantage. I balance out rather well and dont plan on losing anymore weight willingly as it would make me look unbalanced on top.

The problem with being genetic male and only weighting 140 lbs, is that you lose that fat all over, especially on the face, and a thin face is not very feminine. Even women with very thin faces tend to look a bit masculine. I am 5'8" and at one stage I slimmed down to 145 lbs. To be honest, I looked gaunt and ill. I have now drifted up to 165 lbs, and most people remark on how well I look, my face has filled out a little bit, and the extra 20 lbs seemed to go on my boobs and bum, with a little tiny bit on my waist, though mainly abdomen. As for dress size, I generally go for 18 upper body and 16 lower. UK sizes of course, which are about 4 numerals higher than the US.

Oh how I "HATE" you skinny girls!!!!! I am 5-9 w/o heels weigh "a tad to much" (you don't think I'm tell ya',do ya?) and wear size 20, heels would be 12 wide. Way back when, I had a 30 inch waist, 40 inch chest(dreamin' of those days) no grey hair, perfect eye sight but age does some really cruel things(you older girls know I am talking about), oh well!!!! Gotta' go now and take my BP meds., my cholesterol meds., vitamins etc etc.

I am 5' 7" and in my peak fitness as a long distance and cross country runner I was 130 lbs. That was almost 30 years ago, I am now closer to 170 and I wear 10-12 skirts and 12-14 tops, with some assistance from shapers.

When I was 130 I could wear size 7, but never had the same oppurtunities as now. As others have stated I think you are about right, and I would love to be 150

Let me update this post. I measured myself the other day and I'm 5'8" now. Must be all those hard landings from doing OE. ( All the pilots on here will get this). Who knows after the hip replacement surgery, I might be alittle shorter. Weigh 172 now.

I,m 5 10 tall ( in flats ) and 12.5 st in weight .Clothes size 16 top , 10 bottom. I do wish to be slimmer , but sadly I have these dreaded Carlsberg moments ...........Oh and the odd Dominoe binge ..... my wifes very happy for my lower size ( no pun intended ) as its fitted round her wardrobe nicely . She gets to "trial fit " most of my recent shopping trips . It,s gone a little in her benfit too , as of late she,s " liberated " half of my pencil skirts and minis too !

Maybe you people will be jealous of me because I'm the perfect crossdresser's height of 5' 4" tall so I can fit petite or regular sizes very well. Right now I'm overweight at 149.8 lbs, I usually like to keep it at 142 to 145 lbs. But I still fit my size 4 and 6's perfectly! It took me 2 years of exercise to go from 205 lbs to 139 lbs, and I have kept my size 4 to 6 for 3 years now and have amassed a gigantic women's clothes collection! Too much beautiful stuff in my size, plus I can fit real teen cheerleader and schoolgirl outfits! I'm in dreamland! Usually a size 8 would be big for me, but few are cut small. I wear size 4 pants, a 36B or C, and usually size 6 is perfect for me!

It's amazing some of you are taller than me, weigh less, but are a larger size! It's real good to be small!
