I'm always interested in reading of the real life adventures of being out and dressed. I don't think we ever get tired of hearing how others have met the world and how they were treated. I'd like to encourage the telling of real life adventures. Tell us were you've gone, what you've done and how you were treated. It helps the rest of us.

I think you will find a lot of those adventures posted in the out and about section

It is great fun to be out and about. The feeling you get and the good responses too.

Laura....I've been fortunate in going out and not having any "issues" caused by it...I've been generally either been "checked out" or even have had some GG's give me a smile...But here's one instance where I kinda left one guy "wondering"...Emmy...( a GG friend of mine ) once gave me gave me a birthday present of a makeover and photo shoot in Houston...and afterwards we went shopping.. ( me still enfemme, of course )...;) I was wearing a nice short, tight black skirt...A white sleevless blouse and a green lightweight jacket??? ( not really a jacket...but it's a top..) I was wearing a long blonde wig with a bit of a curl to it with the outfit..It was an ok look...but I wasn't too overwhelmed about it..We'd stopped at a convenience store and Emmy decided to get us a couple of drinks...( August in Houston...it was 106 that day..Talk about learning "damage control" on ones makeup...LOL)..I was waiting in the car...Then a gentleman pulled up and parked in the spot next to me...He glanced over and smiled at me as he got out of his car... Heh...heh...heh... I reached in the back and looked in the bag I had, and found the hair I had wanted to do the last set of pics with..My favorite long curly ,auburn, and I proceeded to make an "Accessory" change...I had also put on my glasses... Yep...you guessed it..That gentleman who parked next to me came out ahead of Emmy and walked my way towards his car..I was just finishing up running my fingers through my hair, and touching up my lipstick when he looked over after he sat down...and did a "doubletake"...he wasn't too sure...yeah..it was the same car I was sitting in....And HE was in the right car...but that "blonde" wasn't there anymore...But a cute redhead was....LOL...He gave a puzzled "raised eyebrow", and then started his car and pulled away...I held my laughter till after he left...Emmy wanted to know what was so funny...And I told her...We cracked up for a couple of minutes and went about to our shopping...:lol2:

This was the outfit I was wearing...and funny thing about this pic...Just out of frame to my right..There was a guy sitting on a bench...He didn't give me a second look...I guess he's seen a ton of 5' 18" ( in these heels ) ladies in this area...

I have just began doing a more detail journal of my dressing. I am tall like Kendra and for the most part people tend to look and keep going on about their business.

I wrote and posted a couple things in being out and about on Storysite and "fictionmania."
They are from a few years ago, I guess now that I go out 2-3 times a year, it just isn't as exciting to write about!!!
Not that it isn't fun and exciting, but I mean... Well the other girls that have been going out for awhile, know what I'm talking about.... I dressed, I went out, had dinner with a few girlfriends, we partyed or shopped or, or and then went home at 2 AM.
Sort of like the 'Titanic'. It floated, it left port..... hit an ice berg and sank! Short, sweet, to the point!!
Next time out, I'll try to keep a more 'commentary' view and see if I can write something about it!!

a real life adventure that happened to me on saturday night when i went to the theatre to see flashdance with some of my female work friends. After the show went back to the car park and the lady in the next bay was distressed because she had hit the concrete pillar and her car was stuck. So I kicked off my heels and got her car out for her! This was in very public view. I bet she is wondering who the tall woman with the deep voice was who helped her out!

Well today I got out during the day and while driving on the 128 belt around Boston at noon-time, there were lots of cars on the road. I don't mind driving dressed at night, but days are a bit more....well... revealing...no cloak of darkness to hide under.

I had to drive about 25 miles, and wouldn't you know it, some guy in a delivery van catches a glimpse of me in my above the knee, but not really short skirt. For the next 15 miles, he speeds up on my right until he can see me in his side mirror....then eases off the accelarator until I am even with him...then he travels at my speed for a while...then pulls behind me...then ahead again....and repeats this over and over again. So much for a fun drive up to Wakefield to meet with some other girls for some Margaritas. Finally he takes an exit, but what I was hoping to be a fun, dress and drive story.....was ruined in part by some jerk.

Victoria....Sometimes being tall isn't all that it's cracked up to be I'm sure you know...But I'm not going offf to have 6" taken out of my legs...( BTW I've been told they are my best feature so I'm not going to jeopardize them... )..Anyway...I've always been told.."Be proud of your height..Stand tall, shoulders back and walk proud"...So far, it's been fun...and I get my fair share of looks.. ( Now if I could get down a few dress sizes ):heehee:

I was dressed this AM in my usual pink peignoir and enjoying a cup of french vanilla coffee when the whole house started shaking. I live about 70 miles from the epicenter of today's quake- 5.4 in SoCal.

For several minutes I was expecting to feel more big ones (quakes) and perhaps have to get outside away from the house. No time to change and no time to femme up with a wig etc.

Close enough for me TYVM!

Ahh Socal living- floods, forest fires, quakes, brownouts, LAPD, nutzo lawyers everywhere. What a country!

I was out shopping last week. When I entered a store I had not visted in a long, long time, the sales associate saw me and said "Hi, I haven't seen you in a long time. You look great." We chatted for a little while. It was nice. As I was browsing, another woman said that she really liked my sundress. I was wearing a knee length sun dress with thin straps that tied above the shoulder. She then said that that is nice to see all of the young girls wearing pretty sundresses again.

While trying on an outfit at Eileen Fisher, I found that I needed a smaller size in the slacks I had. So I went to find the sales associate who was in the dressing room helping other ladies. One of the other shoppers said "Oh, that's a really pretty outfit. Where did you find it?" The sales associate told her, "It's the same one you just tried on." The other lady said. "Oh. It must be nice to be young, pretty, and thin."

Nice day out, especially for a CD who's pushing 50.

Warm regards

My best adventure..and by adventure I am thinking something a bit dangerous that gives a thrill....any here goes:

Started my evening at the Stage Door. A gaybar here in the Atlanta metro area that used to be the hangout for CDs/Tgirls. A couple of other Tgirls and two GGs said they were going to Johnny's Hideaway. Thats one of the biggest 'meatmarket' straight bars in Atlanta.

I drove by myself, the rest of the crew was in another car. I was really nervous driving over since I had gone to Johnny's in boy mode a ton of times before I started dressing. Matter of fact I even dated some GGs from there.

I pulled up, the valet grabbed my car, I took a big breath and walked in by myself. I had to circle the bar twice before I found my group of friends...of course was very relieved to see them. Heck I don't like being by myself in boy mode at a bar...when dressed its even worse!

Anyway got with my friends, had fun chatting and I danced with one of the GGs two times if I remember correctly. But the big kick was that at different times three guys came up and asked me to dance! I was very polite and just said something like "sweetie I am not a real girl I am a transsexual, but thanks for asking anyway." One guy walked away with a surprised look, one guy actually ran away then the third guy just looked at me. He then said "you look better than the real women here!" Oh my I know thats a rude comment but I did not say it...but I sure as hell absolutely luved hearing it!!! Now that bar is dark as hell...so that no doubt helped me. Well...also I was wearing nice jeans (kinda tight dammit I was about 20 pounds lighter then prob about a year ago) , 3 inch heels and a little leopard print top...so I did have a blend in with da GGs look going with the outfit.

Anyway had fun...before long everyone was catching on to us Tgirls and the guys stopped coming to hit on me but also they had been hitting on my friends especially Mandi who is FT and a total babe.

I left and was proud that I had been brave enough to go in a place that I had gone many times in boy mode before and had fun!

I saw him at a tg ball a couple of years later, he was regaling other gurls, I kept out of his radar range...

about 10years ago I was over in London I left my hotel dressed and walked
to Oxford st and did all the stores , I only noticed one look I am sure other
people noticed , I dont think I would have the nerve to do that today
although I know I am better put together now , I am in London at least
once a year but have never taken Julie with me since ,maybe one day.

Kendra, you look so nice in your pic, that if I passed you in a store etc., I probably wouldn't have given a second thought. And yes, I know a lot of GG's taller than 6" in their stocking feet.
