View Full Version : The Need to Escalate

Whenever I do something new with CDing, I get an awesome rush. Whenever I repeat the same experience...well...it is nice...but not the same as the first time.

The need to escalate has driven me to first post "headless" shots on this forum. I was scared totally, but it turned out to be harmless fun. Then I needed to show a little more--carefully composed shots of portions of my face...finally, a full shot. Then that was not enough...I started posting videos of myself practicing to walk...then more...I started studying how to talk...and the coup de grace a few months ago I ventured out and made a video and talked a ton. I posted the video on YouTube and it has like 6,000 hits. Totally awesome.

I MUST keep escalating. Is that a curse?

Tonight I had the opportunity to dress--so I did :) But my SO took the digital camera that does video so I couldn't make videos. I took some still shots with my SLR--stuff that used to make me wild with excitement a year ago...now I am bored by it. Because I'm not escalating the experience.

My next challenge is to go out...in public...during the day. I have a location scouted out (a dying shopping mall with little traffic) and everything. I'm going to make a video. That will be a new adventure and totally thrilling. But, until then...I'll just be repeating old adventures and not getting the same thrill. :(

Anyone else feel this way?

I totally know what you mean. The first time I put a bra on, it was a thrill. Now I find myself making dares against myself to do more and more outrageous things. Best one for me so far was going to get the mail (late at night) wearing high heels. Next time, I'll need to have the heels and my maid's outfit to get the same thrill. Given that I live in redneck central, I might put that off a bit just for safety's sake.

That's why stores have escalators:)

THere's nothing like being out in the world, breathing the air of freedom. Mostly people don't pay much notice, though of course we should pay attention & use comon sense just as any GG out & about does.

I'm just me - there's no constant escalation of thrills. If I can look how I feel then that's just fine.

Take note Danam be careful this can take you into places and situations you just might not like once you get there. A little caution might just save you a lot of grief.

I can tell you that I myself do have that type of thing going on. Not just in dressing but in learning things or new hobbies and all of it.

I consider it to be a blessing and a curse...

the downside is of course that things never seem to be enough unless they are the first time.

the upside being you try more than people who are satisfied with acheiving a simple goal.

What I do is try to take the progression slow. I appreciate that I dont always have to have the rush to enjoy my experiances. The key is to notice that you still get some sort of rush and enjoyment even the second, third and so on times especially if it is something that really works for you. That is how you find which things to hang on to.

Also I try not to combine things that I have already used for the rush of something new and got over the newness while trying something else new.

For an example, I started with breast forms before I got good bras and it was great... later I started buying nice bras and tried to enjoy them without the breast forms at first. as the specialness died off I combined the 2 and got a 3rd new event all together...

anyway the key is always to keep your head on when deciding the next step and trying your best not to go too fast so that you dont move on to all the next steps before you can think of what the one after them should be :)

Hi Dana
As one who enjoys you videos on Youtube, I look forward bigtime to seeing you out at that mall on your daytime womenly adventure. From what I have seen in your past videos, you will get by with flying colors let alone the thrill of it all.

I get an adrenaline buzz from trying new crossdressing activities. I'm now routinely doing stuff that would have terrified me not so long back and I want more. Although my wife has now become very much more accepting and comfortable with my dressing she does worry about my tendency to push at the boundaries. She has told me several times that she is nervous about what I'm going to want to do next.

I get an adrenaline buzz from trying new crossdressing activities.

The same for me... That rush can be fun, but there are also days when the comfortableness of being dressed for hours is just as fun!

It seems that most of us never get enough of a Great thing and we always want more. I have been told this by many GGFriends that I have had. It is one big downfall with GGs.

To me it is no different than a drug. I have escalated clear into daily dressing while working. Don't know what to do next....

I gradually developed my CDing to a certin level in my 9 years in the closet.

Since joining this site 10 months ago, my CDing has accelerrated at a frightening pace! I seem compelled to try different looks, figures, outfits, etc. There always is something new for me to consentrate on trying.

I find it both exciting and frightening! Both the highs and the overwhelming obsession!

In the course of 20 months, since I joined this group, I have gone from literally:

December 2006: "I kindof like this stuff so I'll join so I can look at pictures"

to

June 2008: Full makeup, wig, shapewear, shaved legs + hose, silky dress, girly voice, stepped out into the world!!

I am truly amazed at what has happened...two years ago I NEVER NEVER would have guessed that I would be this far along.

Just being dressed is thrill enough for me.

That is a great point, and I think they are 2 completely different interests. I am pretty sure that it would be easier to give up the thrill seeking side of things than it would to give up who I am as a person... which essentially what I have done... on both counts over the last few years...

another big one for me by the way is when I try something new and just right with my makup or hair :) I always like that...
