Well the long wait and countdown is almost over, as my trachea shave takes place tomorrow. The sleepless nights I've had recently I've put down to the immense humidity we have experienced of late, but I think my imminant surgery has been at least a contributary factor.
Now I just cannot wait, have it done and move on to the next big thing whatever that is.

Hi Steph, I know its the easiest thing to say"Just try and relax, everything will be OK", but it will be!!!! It will turn out fine!!! Once your throat heals PLEASE let us know, and also how you are feeling about your new voice.

Hi Molly, my voice will not change, as its just my trachea shave that is being done ie adams apple shaved, not my vocal cords, so I'll still not have a convincing female voice. My voice threapist would not reccomend me for my vocal cords to be trimmed and tied, despite my pleas.
I wuill let everyone know how it all goes as soon as I can.

Today turned out not to be my Trachea Shave surgery, it was my assessment and tests. I go in for my surgery on September 1st.
It was the most affirming day of my transition so far, total acceptance, I was referred to as female all the time, a big wow day.
When I go in on September 1st, I need to book in at 8 am, I will be required to anaesthetic and stay overnight, then a weeks rest before returning to normal activity.

Well, good thing you are not doing the voice feminization surgery. I heard that in 90% of the cases the results are disastrous.
